Nelson-Ledges is in Ohio. It's the main track for the FasTTrax endurance racing series. A couple friends have been there with the typical smaller venue gripes..not the best facilities, bumps in the surface. The back end (after 4) looks a lot like Gingerman.

they better have some good gravel pits because it doesn't look like a lot of run off around most of the track. Those little poofy things on the outsides of 5-9 are usually trees.

When you say things like this... is it comparable to BHF?

I've heard it being compared to earlier BHF, circa 2002 (before the recent repave). And the showers probably don't shock users

It's definately a lot closer to you and worth checking out though.

BG,

I haven't been there since 98 but, the configuration is the same. There is a lot of run off around the track. It's a very short track and fast times are around 55 seconds. It's easy to learn. If it's been completely repaved it should be a great track.

One of the guys from TSBR and I are going to go there either for WERA, Fasttrax, or both. When we go there should be some open track sessions, if you're interested.

In short, only Bill here has ridden on that track. Phozed and VTR996 both have, but they don't post anymore (Phozed has been MIA for months, I'm getting worried).

I suggest posting up on the NESBA board for more credible answers..we don't know squat about that place

Check the Fasttrax webpage. There are several racers that will give you more info on the track. The facilities are pitiful, unless they've been rebuilt. It's almost safer to bring a porta potti and a portable shower to hang from a tree.

wow, that does sound like Blackhawk! Gingerman on the other hand has great facilities; pumice handcleaner in the bathrooms, hot water in the showers with separate stalls; and plenty of run off room on the track.

who stole turn 1.............................................

I dont see turn 1 on the track map, I have been there back in the seventies when my dad was racing cars. It is almost in pennsylvania so it is a haul, or least it seemed so to a kid- my dad loved it he stormed from the back of the grid to win his class and second overall that race, and we had a dead rat in the pool at the dump hotel, it was great....

From Toledo, OH it's only 3 hours, which is the same as it is to Grattan and Putnam.

Bathrooms at MAM still beat Gingerman. They've got flowers and complimentary lotions and toiletries in the ladies' room.

Ah yes, if more places would make the ladies comfortable maybe more would come to the track.

The first track my wife went to while I raced was Nelson. It was so bad she almost refused to EVER set foot inside another track.

Not to turn this into a track bathroom rant... but yeah.... How about being a female, at Blackhawk and trying to get your leathers down to go to the bathroom without them getting all dirty on the nasty floors? Now make it a 90+ degree day!

I am a big fan of Autobahn's bathrooms... especially by the snack shop thing. Much nicer!

+1 on the bathroom thing. Blackhawk in the cold rain and I didn't want to touch the floor if I could help it...yuck. I think that I'm hearing MAM call my name. The only thing about Autobaun that sucked is that there wasn't a shower. Talk about a good time. Me Vic and a cold ass shower outside without shampoo or towels because someone forgot the right tote...good times
