How many of you race minibikes?

Well I've got this friend down South that's been touting racing fifties and what not lately, and I thought it looked really interesting.

I believe he said mostly the guys were riding XR50s and the pictures he showed me looked like a really fun/competitive time.

Of course I hardly have enough money to be riding my "big bike" and getting it to any track days I can do this summer will be a challenge in and of itself, but I'm mostly thinking about the next bike (aren't we all) and minibikes seem more and more like the way I'd like to go.

Please share your stories, who you race with, maybe how much you spend if you feel comfortable with that, etc.

I will probably be keeping my eyes open for a used fifty in a year or so.

I'm hooked on it, the little bit taller mini's 80s and 100's
although if Steve keeps going to michigan for the races there I might have to spring for a 50

Yeah it is a fricken blast. I can't wait for the summer to start. You should comeout to the new 50 riding spot that NickIF has set up. It is near Dave and Busters off of 355.
