I got an email back from them saying that the track has been sold to a developer and theyre no longer racing there

yup.. gotta love urban sprawl..

i have a feeling Byron dragstrip is gonna be the next one to fall. the place is always rocking packed, but with the homes right across the street i know the commuity is already complaining.

That place has changed hands a few times in the last few years, this does not surprise me. It was a fun track though, had a blast in a few hpv class carts there.

I've seen some wicker accidents at norway with carts flipping over and landing on top of people. regaurdelss of waivers the insurance has got to be astronomical.

I sent an email to them looking for some info and they sent the info back that they were closed and suggested I try Joliet Speedway instead
