Places to get leathers tailored?

Any places around here that do suits which anyone can vouch for?

Where is 'here'?

Alexa is up in Milwaukee. She's probably the favorite around here, but somebody else might be closer to you.

That's where everybody goes Biggy. Everybody I know from the Chicagoland area drives up to Milwaukee, or hands off the leathers to someone who'll be at a CCS event (Grover is volunteering) to hand over to Alexa/Spiderleatherworks.

If you're trying to get them taken in or let out, it's best to drive to Milwaukee once for measuring, and then have somebody bring 'em back for ya at a race when they're done. If it's repairs after a crash, usually people will hand them off for ya at the races and you won't have to drive to Milwaukee for either.

I was volunteering? I actually don't head to Milwaukee that often anymore, and the next race weekend is ??

If you are getting them fit to you, the leatherworker will probably require you to be there for measurements. You could drive up to Milwaukee, then just have her ship them back.

she deals with racers the time so I went over there she made notes on the changes, and I picked them up at blackhawk from one of the CR's who was also getting their leathers customized.

I'm sorry but would you really send your leathers to a place that advertises this as their work???

Yep - I just had them double-stitch some seams for me. They do a lot of race repair work & they get pretty booked up about this time of year, so a lot of people must trust them.

Thanks. I'm shooting for a May 20th trackday at Grattan. Alexa said her turnaround would be longer, so I could drop them off after the 20th. Called lethersmiths and they said if I dropped off the leathers today I'd have them by net Friday no problem. So I'm gonna give them a shot. Not to mention it's a much closer drive.

Thanks. Can't give away the leathers because I need them for the 20th. I'm scheduled to bring them into leathersmiths today and they told me next Friday is not a problem to have it done.
