Wow holy shit what a race!!! That was incredible. they battled the whole race. I was really impressed with Caperossi even though Rossi got him in the end. Nice to see Nicky get back on the podium and get back in first tied with Caperossi. Sete did his usual disappearing act I'm not sure if i believe Rossi about letting off the gas to let them by but he may have done it. Whether or not he did it on purpose doesn't really matter i guess since he won the race in the end.

Stoner's crash was crazy! He was looking pretty good too. Glad he walked away.

oh, and someone get that announcer a throat lozenge!!!!

That was a great race. Nicky was able to hang with the boys, but not able to get around them.
Stoner's crash was just plain crazy.

Wow! An amazing race to watch and the season so far is absolutely unbelievable. I don't know if the back half of the year can be as good as what we've seen so far, but if it is, this championship battle will be one for the ages.

Edit to add: Anybody see other footage than what Speed had of Stoner's get off? It looks like he tumbled almost as much as the bike and just walked away!

Amazing race!!! It was a dog fight until the end.

Stoner walking away from that high side was simply a miracle.

I don't think Stoner tumbled that much, looks like he fell and then slid most of the way and rolled a bit in the gravel trap... Bike must have caught a bump or something cuz it musta flipped at least 4 times in the air

Yeah, the camera angle made it look worse that it was. He lowsided on the turn before that hill and the bike caught the gravel trap and then started flipping violenty.

I missed the race, but I think they are re-airing the race on Tuesday night. Is this correct?

If not, someone's got to have a .mpg. I don't know how to use torrents. Hook a brotha up.

EDIT Ok, yeah, there are re-airing the race at noon on Tuesday on SPEED.

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

The kid from OWB

Its so great to see Nicky riding so hard. In past seasons he seemed to drift back as the race wore on. Now he is showing no fear, battling back when he gets passed and looks like he is always trying to find a way to the front. Much better ride then Le Mans. Capirex is not alway consistent and he was VERY inspired racing in Italy. I think Nicky will regain his lead, but Rossi will continue to close the gap. Rossi didn't let those guys by when he fell back to 5th, he almost crashed and had to go wide.

Kenny Roberts did well finishing in 7th and it was too bad to see Colin so far back due to the lack to time they had to get the new chassis set up. They couldn't get the old one to work as well as Le Mans - he eneded up using Rossi settings, but didn't have enough rear grip and was forced off the track early on.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

From an Italian Source

Mugello monday test news

All, but Casey, tested today (he's some pelvic troubles).

Rossi tested the latest chassis ('C') and didn't like it... he crashed badly with it.
Says he will use the 'B' (LeMans-ex2005 chassis) which gave him yesterdays victory.
Hayden and Pedrosa did the most laps even after rain started. Pedrosa got a sore hand at the end of the day.

Hayden 1.50.1 Pedrosa 1.50.5
Melandri was fastest with a 1.49

Ducati tested some new and revolutionary telemetry stuff in cooperation with B'stone. Best time (who?) was a 1.50.6

Guintoli tested for Tech 3 Yamaha and was faster then Ellison....

Olivier Jaques tested the latest and greatest aerodinamics for Kawasaki.

Other chit chat included rumours of a Junior Yamaha team in MotoGP, with Stoner or Lorenzo as riders. Stoner could also be paired with Rossi if....

Finally Winston is studying a spot in MotoGP.

And Kenny Roberts promises a much improved chassis for Barcelona...

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

one of the best races of recent memory!!! Hayden has really matured this season, he's a like a whole new rider out there compared to last year. As for Rossi, when he gets that Yammie sorted its gonna be on like donkey kong.

I love how much Rossi and Gibernau hate either other, am I the only one that could literally feel the tension between them when they were battling for first early on?
