Holy war of attrition batman
Only 11 bikes finished but good results for US riders, taking 4 of the top 5 spots. Good to see Kenny Jr. on the podium!

Rossi looked awfully tough again today. Yammi may finally have the chassis issues sorted out. Hayden hung with him til the last handful of laps, where he pulled his usual disappearing act.

A huge turn 1 crash hospitalized Gibernau, Melandri, & Capirossi, all of which had at least minor injuries. The 2 ducs got together under braking for turn 1 when Gibernau's brake lever got into Capirossi's bike, tossing him over the front end hard.

edit: added linky to crash pics

There were also minor get-offs from De Puniet, Stoner, Elias, & Pedrosa. Track looked less than grippy today.

Hayden now has a 20 point championship lead but I suspect Rossi may make that go away soon.

Good race. Rossi makes it look so easy. Wasen't he like 9th in points a few weeks ago, now he's up to 2nd or 3rd? I think he's had a few DNF's this year and a few poor finishes after wrecks, and he's still in the hunt. I don't catch the races every week and I don't really follow them religiously but Rossi is amazing.

Good to see Hayden consistantly being up on the podium week after week. I'd like to see those two go down to the wire for the championship

Good race but it's so annoying to watch with the shitty camera quality. I don't know what the deal is, but the AMA superbike races on right after were 10x clearer.

Here are the quotes. If I can get the actual video, I will.

What do the internet and Channel 11 have in common? They are both a window to the world; put it out there and do not be surprised who will see it.

John Hopkins has looked really good the last couple of races in spite of crashing at LeMans. Nice to see the Suzuki starting to finish well.

Thanks for the link,
I was yelling at the TV when they didn't interview him.
especially 1st time Proton on the podium. I'm hoping when they replay the race later in the week they include it.

Nicky sure seemed ticked off/frustrated at first when he gave his interview. in the text they shortened /softened it, I tried to watch the vid but my subscription to that site has expired I guess.

That 1st lap Crash was evil looking, Gibernau's brake lever caught Caparossi's ?
Good go hear about the riders not being too seriously injured, I thought melandri had some type of neck injury ? was scarry to see him not moving.

Sure was cool to see the USA guys running up front..

Rossi's riding is incredible but Is he every going to learn to say YAMAHA

awesome race to watch.

:OT The AMA Races at the new Miller motorsports were really good too. GO JZ

what a crashfest!! seemed pretty obvious that the heat was causing some big traction issues. With the yamaha chassis sorted out the doctor is going to be his old self again. Nice to see Nicky so composed and consistent!
