Questions for you NESBA going fools

Me and another guy from MN are registering for NESBA, we are going to do about three blackhawks and a RA.

I was just curious, what group would we be put in, beginner or intermideate?

I have done, two track days up here and will have done at least two more by the time the first NESBA date arives. Would we ride in beiginer until a control rider says we are set to go to I, or is beginner plenty fast? I guess what I'm getting at, is that I'm not real fast right now, but I also don't want to play follow the leader. But will do what ever it takes, I guess.

Probably beginner, especially if you haven't been to Blackhawk before. It's not a difficult track to pick up on, especially if you look for braking and turning locations during the intro sessions. Well, mainly turn in locations since braking references aren't relevant at the intro speeds (proper throttle control is all you need). Don't worry, the pace will pick up after that.

I suggest lining up in the 'fast' line during the intro sessions. If you hound the lead control rider long enough he/she should be able to discuss bumping up with you. Intermediate sessions are almost always booked solid though.

Nick,

IMO you'd be very comfortable starting out in Beginer. The Beginer session picks up pace as the day continues.

From the few times I've ridden with you in MN, I'd say, by mid-day, you'd be one of the faster Beginer riders.

Just buddy up with a control rider and they'll bump you when they feel you're ready!

Looking forward to seeing you!

Definitely get to the front of the line during the intro sessions. Then in the afternoon you can discuss "bumping" with the CR's. They will watch you for a session... and then you'll go out in an intermediate session - they will watch how you do there.... if you can hold your line and keep a decent pace, you'll be moved.

Look forward to seeing you at Blackhawk!

get thru the 1st 2 sessions in B and its not all that bad. If you pick up like the others say you will you'll be in I in no time. Just dont pull a Doc/Lupi and crash on your interview.
