Question regarding the latest sticky

what constitutes a violation of this latest board rule? if any and all threads regarding any track time with another track day org will be deleted then shouldn't this entire subgroup be removed?

i'm not asking to be an asshead. i just don't want to have any of my threads deleted and i don't know what's a violation and what's not. the sticky is pretty broad in its scope.

thanks for your attention.

In simple terms:

- Want to talk about your racing? Someone else's racing (AMA, MotoGP etc.) Go for it!

- Want to 'advertise' another TRACKDAY specific organization? Please do it elsewhere. We have a very public agreement with NESBA.

I think that the majority of this site would agree with me when I say that any tracktime is good tracktime. In my humble opinion that's the epiphany of sportbike riding and everyone should try it at least once.

That said, CLSB has a long-standing dedication to NESBA, and the efforts that they have demonstrated over the years to support us and our members. Everyone knows that there are other trackday orgs out there. We encourage you to make the choice that's right for you - and to explore the options available to you.

However, from the slowest (me) to the fastest (everyone else) members on this board, we feel that NESBA is where it's at. Therefore, we ask that you be respectful of our SITE SPONSORS and take your conversations about other orgs offline.

Hope that helps to clear up some of the confusion.

to add to underdogs comments the track forum is used for

"Track Talk
This forum is all about discussing riding and setup tips for different types of racetracks. As well as discussion about Nesba trackdays and the local racing scene."

have questions about track related questions about bike set up, prep, etc.
how was this track or that track.
how to get started
etc, etc, etc, the list goes on for ever.

what i dont want to see and wont allow no more is talking about who is doing what date with anyone other then NESBA.

if you wanna find out something like that, then go to there site.

if anything use your PM feature for something like that you want to talk to another members that do other orgs other then nesba.

ive personally allowed this stuff to go on for to long, and ive had enough.

i stand behind nesba, and they do TONS for us.

i have helped so MANY people along with nesba's help to get them where they need to be with there aggressive riding to finding an outlet.
and in most cases for FREE to realize there is a better alternative then to trying to drag a knee on a busy 2 lane road.

thats where i am getting too.

my rule wont change.

if you have any more questions, please ask away and i will answer them the best i can when i have time to do so.

thanks for asking, thanks for being a member and a member that cares about there membership on this site and what it means for us all.

so any mention of any other org will be deleted then? for example, the many roll-calls and post track day threads will be no more if they're with a different org?

So to clarify:

Discussions involving track day orgs such as STT, PTT, Private track days hosted by ANYONE including CLSB members or local tracks, etc. should be discussed elsewhere and not advertised on this board in order to not conflict w/ NESBA advertising. So posts like "Who's going to Autobahn on 6/19 w/ STT" should not be on this board.

Discussions involving AMA, CCS, WERA, etc events are OK as they are racing organizations and are not in direct competition with NESBA. And posts like "Rollcall for CCS Blackhawk July 16th" or "Who's going to Road America for the AMA Superbike race" is OK.

Is that right?

Good point, non-competitive days should be allowed IMO. Meaning non-competitive organizations.

Prolly not ... The "other" track organizations have many different days and venues that do not directly compete with Nesba. Additionally, it will be a shame to not be able to find out about track days that are being put on by people other than competing organizations.

Brian...it is DIRECT competition when another organization is one week earlier and Nesba is the following week.

There are forums for the other organizations where you can discuss these types of things.

You still have the ability to find out about the other organizations and other dates. They all have their own websites and perhaps their own partnerships with other sites.

This particular website, has a partnership with NESBA, and feels that NESBA serves the CLSB members best. It makes sense that NESBA and NESBA only should be promoted here since this is a FREE board (which we all get to use and enjoy), which also happens to be sponsored by NESBA.

Perhaps many of you have noticed that EVERY track day that NESBA runs, some lucky winner from CLSB gets to win a FREE track day.

I say we do all that we can to support the growth and the community of CLSB and of NESBA. If the dates that NESBA offers don't work out for your schedule, then feel free to go research other options on other sites.

Ken is asking that we respect the effort and the sponsorship of NESBA which we all benefit from. I don't think that is unreasonable at all. We need to do all that we can to help this community grow.

The CLSB staff will make the call on those situations. I can tell you right now that a weekday event is direct competition.

i thought sticky was talking more about things like 50 racing, and supermoto and stuff like that. I can't see how nesba would have a problem with that. Now, any non-racing, sportbike stuff, weekday, private, public, or otherwise, sure, I can see where nesba doesn't like that stuff

I agree...NESBA is an awesome organization and it works very hard to attract as well as keep its members. The bonds that CLSB has with NESBA affords CLSB members many benefits and we should respect that.

NOW, can I have a free trackday? I'm new and this is my first post..... What is track riding? I normally just go really fast on the street.

So lemme get this straight.......Guys can continue to post nude pics, of course they won't be deleted, but all other threads about other track orgs will???

Nothing against the nude pic threads, honestly, I could care less about them....but I like hearing about other track orgs events and such, and am a little disappointed that those posts will be no more, so I just think if you are going to be strictly set on your rules, you should be set on all of them.
