anyone want to rent their bike?

I have a friend that is coming in town from California. He is looking to rent a bike to run a track day October 1st. Anyone interested in renting their bike out, PM me. He is a very experienced rider, he currently has three street bikes.

1) Does he have any track experience?

2) If it was a NESBA event, I might consider it. I prefer to be there when he is on the bike and on the track.

This has 'bad idea' written all over it. . .

He has track experience at Laguna Seca and Road Atlanta. He has been to the Schwantz school a few times.

It is not a Nesba event.

I would rent out my SV.

Price would be a fresh set of tires.

Catch is I would need $5000 cash deposit, upon my inspection the cash gets returned or the bike has a new owner.

Alan,

That covers the other concern that I had. How does one deal with the risk factor of destroying the bike? You have the answer.

That might work for me as well with my F4i.

Nail hit squarely upon the head............and for $7500, I let him borrow my Mille.

Let's also factor in ABUSE......how much is that worth? $$$$$

On a different note(in all seriousness)......I could do you one better if he doesn't mind WHAT he would be riding........for $500 he could rent my '85 zx900 for the day... if he wrecks it, no biggy, he already paid for it up front and I could still part it out afterwards. Let me know what you think of that.

I have borrowed out race bikes plenty of times and have borrowed race bike also like when I went out to Cali. I would lend mine out but I will be using it in Florida around that time and I don't want to offer it up since the dates are so close in time I might not be back in time.
