Thanks Grasshopper and Slowass!

Big thanks to them this weekend at Mid-Ohio. On my way there, my clip on snapped while in tow. My guess is that when Bonnie or whoever dropped the bike that it was enough to get some stress/crack in the clip on but not enough to break. After towing it all these times this year it snapped about 40 miles out from the camp ground. No one at the track had a spare and all the R6's that went down would have been a perfect match, but all 3 fell on the left side and all broke the clip ons. Grasshopper took the needed clip on off of Slowass's bike which let me ride at least one session, so it wasn't a complete waste of a trip. Not to mention it was Hunny's first camping trip, so her reaction to it was interesting. So thanks to all you guys. Except Maynard...he was pretty useless

Oh and a note for anyone here. No Yamaha dealers in the entire state carry any clip ons or any aftermarket 43mm. So don't bother to go shopping in that friggen state. Came home and ordered a set of Vortex with a spare bar. I could have bought some Italian set at the track for like $320 but that just didn't seem like it would have been worth it.

No worries Mike! I'm glad you got to have a few good laps around that track. What a bad ass track it is!!!

For Anyone interested, Mid Ohio is like Grattan on Crack! With no Bumps! That track is as smooth as glass with the new pave. Awesome decreasing raduus turns, off and on camber blind turns up and down hill. VERY VERY TECHINICAL! It took me about 10 laps to remember what was behind what hill, but once I could remember what was coming while I'm dragging my knee at 80 MPH I was able to turn some good laps. My best was a 1:44. I was told thats pretty decent for a first timer at Mid Ohio.

After lunch the rain came so I slapped the rain tires on and proceeded to push and slide my way around a soaking wet track. Fun times! I definitely know the limit of my bike in the rain. One near lowside and I was able to pull mayself back up without concrete surfing. I think I turned more laps in the rain than in the dry.

We didn't ride Yesterday, got back at a decent hour, slept all afternoon, then caught a good fireworks show in Mokena. Fun weekend.

Maynard, how much rain did you hit on the ride back? You're a trooper brotha!

Well it was my first time and I didn't expect to be eating off a stick for a night, sleeping in a hot ass tent while the rain was falling, not showering for 2 days and sweating my ass off all day setting shit up and taking it down. But I had a great time all in all, it was nice to get away with Biggy. Sorry babe about the bike... shit happens!

Thanks Rach and Nick for everything, you guys are awesome! Eric... thanks for the smokes !

me and Nick looked for them. They were either closed or that part of the track was closed at the end of the day. Or we just didn't look hard enough.

3 days of riding in the rain, camping, and hangin out at the track, with only 1 shower in that whole time. No wonder no one wanted to sit by me at steak & shake

Yea, that shizzle was friggen hot. It was windy so the heat was even more intense since the winds fed the fire.

Food on a stick is one of the best part about camping.....As you can see in this pic, Chigirl and I like food on sticks!

Grasshopper is always to the rescue when it comes to having to do something to the bike while camping, he loosened by over tightened chain and even gave me a brand spankin new pin!
