Honda Wins the Suzuka 8 Hrs.

Sucks that Haga and Edwards did not finish the race:

It was a disastrous day for the Yamaha Blue Racing Team of Colin Edwards and Nori Haga, as early reports suggest that Edwards was bundled off of the factory Yamaha YZF-R1 early. The Texan MotoGP pilot managed to get back onto the tarmac, but was down in 52nd place with a mountain to climb. The Tornado put on a stunning performance in a little over a lap to move back up to 28th position, but on lap three the bike died—end of race.

Not sure how many of you remember Itoh (first guy to crack 200 MPH on a 500 two-stroke):

Shinichi Itoh has added another 8-Hour win to his name and Honda can again wallow in self-pride with seven machines inside the top ten, although it's nice to see a Suzuki, a Yamaha, and a Kawasaki mixing it up a little.

I still like Colin though

Funny comment from CE on his tangle with another rider:

“I came into the hairpin and passed the #9 Honda, and I was easily well past him. He then turned into me and hit me in the right footpeg. Maybe he was blind in his left eye or something, because I wasn’t doing anything stupid. It was a completely strange accident.”
