I think he burned most of his MotoGP bridges. If he comes back I hope his attitude changes.

Ah, he was a whiner. When Hayden gets on the podium and doesn't win, he says "we just didn't get it done today."

Biaggi blamed everyone else (the bike, tires, wahtever) for his lack of results.

Nice. Max should be back attitude or not. He certainly better then Hoffman, Rice's hero JL Cardoso and several others.

While he is getting better, Toby is still the KING of run-on sentances as proven by this gem:

Fogarty has long been part of the Ducati family, for obvious reasons, and should the Blackburn Bullet find the necessary backing to fund a whole season in MotoGP (with help from Dorna), then Biaggi would prove an able foil, as Max has a reputation for attracting his own sponsorship to swell the coffers; Biaggi is a commercial magnet.

Christ.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

I sure hope not.....Biaggi is a big baby!! He should stick to crying and stay out of MotoGP. I doubt Ducati will want him with their team. Didn't Honda black list him?

One of the greatest 250 riders ever. Didn't even start racing until he was 18 and in three years from that he was leading 250 GP races.

I don't care if he is the fastest thing on the planet, he is a whiner. He is a great rider, I don't dispute that. That doesn't mean I have to like him.

He was great in 250. He was ok in MotoGP. I loved watching him ride, I just hate it when he opens his mouth.

So you're telling me you don't think he whines, bitches and blames?!

Dude, pass me some of that stuff, it is distorting reality well for you.

Wow. That was harsh. easy there big fella.

Yes, yes he does all that. But I would say 3rd in the points several years is better then ok. And I would rather see him on track and then watch him throw his team under the bus then watch guys like Cardoso and Hoffman and Ellison finish last. I think you have maybe watched faster too many times.

I wasn't arguing about his personality. I am arguing that he deserves a ride way more then some others.

Anyway, I love talkin' MotoGP.

The fact of the matter is that everyone complains but some do it in a subtle way and Max lets it publicly known. Wayne Rainey was always a prick and at one point even put a banner that read "Team Donkey" when his Yamaha Chassis wasn't working right. If that's not a fuck you to his sponsors... I don't know what is. Not everyone can be Mr. PC like a Hayden or charismatic like a Rossi. Besides, Biaggi was more than an OK MotoGP rider. The guy's won more 500/MotoGP races than anyone that is racing in MotoGP currently with the exception to Rossi. The guy's worst finish in the championship was 5th which was last year. Years prior, he had three 2nd place finishes in the championship, three 3rds and a 4th. If that makes Biaggi an OK Rider, then everyone else besides Rossi in MotoGP must suck.

Rev, you are quite correct, he is far better than an ok MotoGP rider, clearly one of the best. Wayne and a few others were absolutely NOT liked by their teammates, and certainly back in that age, most of the riders didn't like each other at all. For example Kenny and Freddie...

I don't dispute that Biaggi is worthy of a ride from a skillset. From a sponsors position... hmmm, nope. I sure wouldn't sponsor him. However, as you read in the SBP article, he has always been able to get sponsors (except this year).

MotoGP is a business. Max is a great rider. Not sure where I am going with this other than the fact that sponsors are in business to improve their product image. That is what they pay for.

I wasn't kidding about the Kleenex sponsorship. That would have been the single greatest thing that Kleenex and Max coula have done to improve his image, and get a ton of publicity for Kleenex. Imagine if he could have shrugged it off, made fun of himself, and come out racing at his best.

Now that would have been a heck of a lot better than the way things ended up for him this season. I wish him luck if he does get a ride, I just hope that he grows up and focuses on the racing.

My statement wasn't meant to be harsh above, mostly tongue in cheek. But I do prefer watching him ride to listening to him beeyatch. That has been a nice change to MotoGP this season IMHO.

Not true. He had $15 million in Camel money. Honda should have dropped him, but they shouldn't have black balled him like that. And they also did it at Pons' expense.

This was a joke that Doohan made origonally. And your right. That would have been something. But NO WAY would his giant ego ever have allowed that. His is even bigger then mine, but at least I can laugh at myself.

Timing sucked when they dropped him and how they dropped him, I'll grant you that.

I know it was a joke that Mick made, but it would have been a PR Fiesta is Max coulda swallowed and jumped on it!

They would have gotten more free press worldwide than money could have bought. He needs a PR consultant, what the heck do they call those people that make you look good (not makeup artists either...)?

I think the gp riding styles are going more the way of the 250 rider with the wheels staying in line, and motors getting smaller soon.

Another deserving representative on the MotoGP grid

Lots of rumors have been strewn about in regards to Biaggi...fact is, he bad mouthed Yamaha first, and Honda second...even AFTER they gave him a factory machine. Word on the street is he's been "blacklisted"...hence Alstare Suzuki giving their last grid spot to a 600 Supersport rider rather than Biaggi in the WSB paddock.
