Want to track your car at Autobahn?

Hey guys. If anyone wants to track their car at Autobahn, there is a vendor through another website that is setting up a trackday for cars.

Below are the details. Mods if it isn't ok to post this please just delete it. Thanks.

I am signed up myself.... Can't wait to take the EVO to the track finally. Next year I will be taking the bike.

We are going to open this up to the first 70 people that pay up front. We have several people intersted so this is the only democratic way of reserving the spot.

All registration must me phoned in and a small questionaire will be filled out regarding your car.

The registration is tagged to a driver not to a car. So please keep in mind if you would like several people to drive your car each person will have to register.

You will be placed in one of four different run groups based on experience:

no experience
Novice
Intermediate
Advanced / Competition

We will put you in a class based on the questionaire.

We will have instructors on staff to help out and offer lessons.

The fee will be $150 paid by CC only (no paypal)

The 70 driver cap ensures plenty of track time for our customers and in the end a whole lot of fun.

Please keep in mind just like any other track your car will be submitted for tech inspection.

Please make sure your car is not leaking fluids, has the battery tied down correctly, tires and suspension are in good shape, has proper seat belts or harness' etc. It would really stink to pay that fee and be black flagged because your car is not up to tech for the track.

Track days are designed to be fun but nobody likes hitting a tire wall or worse another car

YOU WILL NEED A HELMET TO RUN ON THE TRACK! PASSENGER AND DRIVER ALIKE!

I'm sure my brothers would be interested in this if the younger one gets his car ready by then. Contact info?

The inspections are conducted by the Autobahn Country club staff so you might want to contact them and ask. But it definetly doesn't require a roll cage as it isn't a competition event it is just an open trackday for fun.

I'm guessing they will require a 5-pt. harness though. I'm definitely interested, but I don't know if I can get the time off of work. Monday's are killer for me this year with a heavier than usual class load. Maybe I feel a cold coming on right now... cough cough.

Ernie-- This is all you!!! Bring that Mini out for a proper break-in.

As far as I understood this Heesh, I thought that this was an Evo only event? Or an AMS customer day.

Not sure about street cars...

BUT I was talking to a corner worker there who said that the Forsythe Champ Car team tested there at AB South. They were lapping right around a minute. As I recall, one of them turned a 57.xx.

Guess that's what downforce will give ya'.

Well it was an experience, made me miss taking the bike to the track ( and the weekend of camping out, drinking, getting bummed when you have to go home, etc)

4 or 5 Evo's there bit it;
2 hit tire walls
1 blew and engine and got all over the braking zone going into 1
1 blew an oil line (which i think made one of the other ones crash)

As a result of all this carnage I got a whopping 3 20 minute sessions. IMO it was poorly organized compared to NESBA events. It was fun while i was on the track though. I need suspension work asap!! you could've stuck a head in my fender gap when I was taking turns.

I got schooled by a guy in a civic ex, though his suspension was all done up. a guy in a C5 vette complimented him and said he never new a civic could corner that well.

ANyway- i talked to a couple BMW guys and they do like $70 days @ blackhawk via some BMW club (you don't need a BMW; just pay a $40 annual fee) These are far better organized according to them as well.
