At 37, Bayliss re-signs with Duc for 2 years.

GREAT news for WSBK. Now I am waiting to hear what Sir Carl has to say about Troy's goal.

Baylisstic says:

"I've thought long and hard about it because it's a big decision to do a couple more years. But honestly I still love riding the bike, I'm in a good position in this year's championship, I've got a great team around me and it's still not time to stop. I would also like to beat Fogarty's record of race wins so all this will keep me occupied for a while! The fact that I came back from MotoGP and am winning races again has also been a major factor in my decision. Basically I'm happy where I am and have no inclination to go anywhere else."

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

Haha. You won't give up on that, huh? Today there has been nothing decided for Colin and it seems even more complicated then before. Will he stay? Will he go to Tech3? Will he go to Yamaha Italia or Alstare Corona in WSBK (there has been mention of phone calls between Colin and Francis Batta).

Perhaps we will hear something before or at Sepang.

motorcycleusa.com is pretty decent...other than that, you've covered my sources ...oh and www.mcnews.com.au is pretty good too.

To make it even more clear:

Yamaha's situation regarding the team is complicated because they want Jorge Lorenzo in 2008 and they dont have any other real alternatives to Edwards. But with the latest negotiations with sponsors (Camel & Telefonica Movistar) they are looking outside the series for a teammate for Rossi.

Edwards might be placed in Tech 3 (on Michelins) with Toni Elias as teammate to Rossi. Casey Stoner's cost is being reappraised.

It is also possible to see him in AMA with the Iwata affiliation wishing to have big name.

I highly doubt the AMA rumor. And don't forget, Colin said in a well known interview that he would retire by age 32.

I also highly doubt Nicky will move to Yamaha and even more so I doubt a move to Ducati. I think Nicky has a contract from Honda, but he is holding out and using his points standing, Yamaha and Ducati as leverage.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

I heard from a little birdie that Kazuto Sakata will come out of retirement to be Rossi's teammate next year. It's true.

Ralph Waldmann is my pick. Remember when he broke his collar bone, had it plated and was back 3 weeks later to compete in the German GP? He became a 250 hero to me after commenting that he would black out from the pain for a second while under full acceleration on the straight.

That's some pretty hard core stuff, I can't even ride without losing 5 or 6 seconds after a crash for a few weeks, and that's without any injury whatsoever
