Springfield Mile Results

For the first time in a long time i saw a "first time" winner of the famed mile...notorious for requiring veteran knowledge to master.

"Flyin" Bryan Smith took victory over factory Harley Rider and multi-time event winner Rich King.

Chris Carr had the bike let him down and dropped out of the race opening the door for Kenny Coolbeth (3rd place finisher) to pounce on the championship going into the event trailing Carr by 4 points. Lots of action and well worth the 400 mile round trip ride yesterday

Nick Cummings (22) is a first year National Number and a likely candidate for future champ, factory Suzuki rider Jake Johnson just behind.

Bryan Smith, Kenny Coolbeth, Shaun Russel (who also had a mechanical) and Rich King

Peoria TT winner (and 4&6 Racing prepped) Henry Wiles on his Aprillia flattracker

Willie McCoy, Joe Kopp and Nick Cummings coming out of 4.

Reigning champ and pre-event points leader Chris Carr
