Robert Jensen at Autobahn South with CCS

Holy Crap!!

Going into turn 1 he had his gixxer sideways from the 3rd brake marker all the way to the apex. His tires were straddling the blend line. Absolute sickness to watch from 15ft away!

That is all...

Nah, track was wet in the morning but dried... no rain. Stayed cloudy, cool and breezy all day.

I think you're talking about #907, Ben Thompson. I think he's a WERA champ and is AMA licensed. He made it look too easy once Jensen sat out.

Wish I had brought a camera...

No man, it was rite off the CCS website. They didn't have the race results up yet but they did have Qualifying times. Too bad they can't have the damn race results up that fast for CCS. Those won't be up for another damn month.

I don't understand why they don't have lap times online. I mean you can get printouts at the track, so they definately have it in electronic format. How hard would it be to upload it to the website? Let the racers sort through the data themselves so they don't need to do any extra work with formatting or anything. Same with points, why the hell does it take so long to update them? If they have to do everything manually and that's why it takes so long, they really need a better system

I had the worst fucking race. Wasn't sure weather it was going to rain again or dry up. Had to make a decision to either go buy rains or new DUNLOP slicks as the slidestones are gone and just not working for me. Ran out of time and didn't get a chance to put new slicks on and went out on the fucked up stones and paid the price. Was about 9 seconds off my pace. It was like riding on ball bearings. That front tire would push and slide in just about every corner and finished the race in 4th with 1st-3rd about a mile ahead of me. I even got passed by 2 amateurs on the last lap. Then I got docked a lap for not coming in for a stop and go after I moved a bit on the 1 board so finished dead last. It was pretty embarrassing but I'm over it now as I'm not chasing points.

That sucks, people were moving a bit before the flag dropped in every race I was in too, I think I only saw one guy get meatballed for it though. Not like they took off, just that they actually waited a little bit to drop the flag in some races, and in others it dropped just as the 1 board turned sideways. I noticed that it caught some people out.

On a brighter note though, I think I'm getting better at starts... and even better, with your 1 lap penalty, even I finished ahead of you

That offer good for anyone else? I switched from pirelli's and loved them. The only reason I crashed in HWSS was that I didn't have time to swap out my front Michelin rain tire for a DOT race tire and the front just got way to greasy for the pace I was putting it through and shortly after mid-race it put me on my ass in the grass.
