Riding in rain

I've decided that if I'm prepared for rain this weekend, it won't actually rain. I also have stoppped washing my car, so the wheels are in motion for a clear weekend.

So, what can I wear over my leathers to keep dry if someone throughs a drink at me, since it's not going to rain???

i rode the pouring rain at BHF wearing what i do every trackday, i was soaked to the bone

with a decently thick rain jacket you'll be fine, thin ones are just gonna tear.

You actually don't notice being wet until AFTER the session. Then it kinda sucks ass

One thing to keep in mind though... Put a piece of duct tape over the bridge of you nose to deflect your breath downwards. This will keep the visor from fogging up. Think of it as a cheap man's version of a nose cup.

Second point: be SMOOOOOOOTH.

Ive noticed the rain while Im out there. I rode at Road America for 1/2 hour straight in a downpour in my rain gear. Not terrible if you are prepared. I only left the track because my feet were literally swimming in my boots. They would just slosh around in there and have no feel of the footpegs.

Yeah, even with a rain suit, my feet get soaked. I don't notice too much, but as the day wears on it becomes apparent that I have Lake Sidi in my boots and trench foot sucks. I've been meaning to get some Gore tex socks or something along those lines for rain days.

It'll be worth it, because riding in the rain is alot of fun. Makes it a lot easier to go into turns sideways
