Chicagoland Supermoto Track Day

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey all,

I just wanted to let you know that we have organized a Supermoto Track Day at Norway, IL for Sunday Oct 1st.

Here are the basics:

When: Sunday, Oct 1 12-5pm (I'm working on extending longer)

Where: Concept Haulers Motor Speedway @ Norway, IL

How Much: $35

Map & Directions: www.concepthaulersmotorspeedway.com

Who's invited: motards, mini motards, mini roadrace

(the more the merrier, the owners are looking at adding a bike program full time for next year, if we get a good turn out that will help)

Dirt section: No

(again owners are willing to do it for next year if we can show that there is a market in this area for this type of deal)

Go karts: Yes

(They had already scheduled a kart practice, so we will have to share track time with the karts. However, this is the day after their last race of the season, so I am betting there won't be a big turnout)

For more details, feel free to PM me.
Thanks
Colin Horn

Deal killer.

They will have 4200 classes for karts, looking at 3-4 sessions, maybe less. It's only 5 hours and all.

It is a killer track though, I've run it a bunch on karts.

Every time I have gone to a tard trackday with carts there has been no more than 5 carts there at one time. No more than 20 people total with carts and tards. So 20 min for carts 20 minutes for tards.

True, but Norway is a kart track, most tard guys have never been on it.....

Either way, $35 is no losing deal for some track time. I needs a motard.

I rode down and hung around with Colin Horn and his dad. They had about 20 bikes. I can't comment on the track since I did not ride, but it looked like a good time. I hope SM catches on there. Lots of fun close to home.

Several years ago and with the previous track owners we did a Chicago area Porsche drive and go-cart day there. They let us take the 911's out on the track for a few laps after we were done carting. (the group rented the track for the day)

Lastly.
Who were the Tard riders at the last Putnam days? They were a ton of fun to watch and far from slow.
