VERY sweet Rossi vid

16 megs - ride onboard w/Rossi and get a short intro to RC211v... you get a sense of how fast yet smooth the bike really is (and what a stud Rossi is):

Rossi is GOOD, no question there, the RC211V obviously dominated last year, and it will be interesting to see what the other manufacturers come up with, and without dumping the MASSIVE amounts of money honda did into the development of the RC211V.

Either way I like Rossi, but he is starting to experience the pains of being that good. Always having to keep it cool, being ok with not getting first place every race, so on and so forth. From what I've read of people around him, they claim it is starting to get to him, his temper raises when he doesn't ride well so on and so forth.

He will remain a legend long after he is gone from MotoGP no doubt. But my man for 03' is Edwards, I want him to just piss all over honda for just dumping him like that. Make them regret that they wouldn't find a way to support him in MotoGP. That guy is awesome, I mean how many people would be willing to ride a year for free just to stay with their current mfr, and go onto to MotoGP.

Anyway enough rambling. 03' is going to be an exciting year for racing all around.

Rossi did the (rider) development on the RC211v that made the most improvements on the bike last year. So I think he "kinda" deserved to out-class all the other riders so much in the beginning of the season.

Next year rc211v's are a dime a dozen... the cube is making HUGE strides, ducati is an X factor but Suzi is still down on top end to everyone else. Gonna be a "magic" season I think and that's why I want to go to Assen for a race.

I'd also like to see Colin do well (he's on the pace something fierce), and Nicky. It was cool to see a few times last season but I don't think Rossi pacing someone for 3/4 of a race and then checking out is gonna be the norm.

p.s.

CrazeInc, no no he didn't just win the world superbike.

The short of the story is he won two world championships, aboard the RC51, and one other major race can't remember the name. Wanted to ride MotoGP with Honda, they already had Rossi, and Hayden so they basically said not on a full factory support ride. Bunch of other contract stuff went down, and he offered to ride the 03' season for free in World Superbike if they promised him a full factory ride in MotoGP for 04' back and forth it went empty promises, only to leave Edwards UNEMPLOYED!!!

So he landed a ride with Aprilia for the 03' season in MotoGP. After already eliminating his previous contract with Ducati.

That's kind of the short story, based on what I've read. There was more to it than that from what I read, of course who knows how accurate that is, but it was from some pretty major magazine articles.

So he is my underdog, for 03' MotoGP. Honda's answer is that they didn't have room for him since they already had their two full factory riders Rossi, and Hayden, then said that the World Superbike was out due to reduced funding for the 03' season.

Go Colin!!!

Can anyone here talk like that thru high speed runs? Having never been to the track what amazed me is that he held a conversation thru those turns. I'm thinking I would have trouble just keeping my eyes on the road let alone running commentary. Great video!

He really isnt up to speed in that video so it wasnt hard for him to talk, if he had been up to speed i dont think we would be able to hear him, those bikes are not quiet!

He was definitely taking it easy. SO he was going about as fast as an average AMA racer going all out on a 600.

Pretty cool video. You can almost see him grin 1 time when he gets a wiggle on the cold tires exiting a corner. The little effortless wheelie out of the pits was nice too.
