CCS Midwest Final Standings 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We're going to have some great grid spots based on Chris's final standings. The Race of Champions at Daytona is considered the national championship for CCS. Grid spots are based on your final standings by region. We'll be driving out there Tuesday night for the 19th through 22nd event. On Sunday night they have a year end awards program.
Chris's class finishes:

GTU 2nd
MWGP 2nd
MWSS 3rd
MWSB 4th
ULSS 4th
ULGP 6th

Midwest Region Overall final standings:

First place #28 Marshall Skloss
Second place #373 Curt Henderson
Third place #49 Rob Sobotka
Fourth place #191 Chris Frye

I couldn't be more proud of Chris's perfomance this season. He really had to fight through a lot of mental demons, crashes, track politics, sponsor wows, and the budget. Through it all he tried to keep his goals as the primary focus. It was tough for a young man, trying to be independent, to have to use Dad's budget to race. He's 24 now and is stuggling with living at home relying totally on his parents support.

Next year, he will go Expert by rule. We haven't come to grips yet on what bike we'll sport yet. It all depends on sponsorships and his personal situation. He's setup to move to California in November to try his hand at a career with his sister doing audio tech work for TV and movies. This is a move to try independence. I fully support his decision, but sure will miss my riding buddy this winter.

Thanks to all for all the kind words this season, we appreciate it greatly.

I'll post up the results from Daytona when we return.
