Hey Ken- CLSB Trackdays?

Wondering if you've thought about doing them again? I know it was kind of a losing battle last time you checked for interest, but it seems like there are more track riders around now........

Just curious.......

Grasshopper and I would sign up. I think he doesn't do them anymore because of the NESBA agreements though.

It's not just that. It's a pain to organize, and most importantly, get people to pay for. Somebody has to front the several thousand dollars to do that. Then people come out of the woodwork to "go", but wait until the last minute to "pay" (so they can just not show if the weather goes to shit.)

Nesba is not the issue here at all...it's the lack of rider's willing to commit and Ken's time and out of pocket losses he experienced in previous years.

I'm officially banned from CLSB track days. Swerves high reving 636, a dumped clutch, and several 2nd, 3rd gear wheelies caused this. It wasn't my fault, it was the bike and the throttle hand, they have a mind of there own.

WTF were you thinking man? You must have been out of your mind. Or wasted at the bar in the hotel when you asked me to CR. Was it the romatic music playing that convinced you?

i LOVE to put on CLSB PRIVATE track days.

but explained above is why its hard for me to do.
the 3 years? i think i did them i lost like 500 bucks. "not to much of a biggie"

but like john said, when i have to front a few thousand as i have each time and then sign up is last minute and PAY UP is last minute its hurts.

if i could get 50 riders to prepay i would do it in a heart beat.

but then again, its alot of work, and since we have nesba why not just make a bigger showing with our CLSB then we aready do.

if its just an issue of CLSB people only, i could talk to bob about having him maybe sponsor 1 in our name, and have nesba control riders there, but the riders will only be CLSB.

who knows, all i do know is the lack of riders to sign up on time, and pay on time has always been an issue, 1 that i never liked cause we arnt just messing with some big org when we stiff them to last minute or want to drop out and want your money back.

its ME, Odysseys, poor old nice guy ken holding the bag of debt.

I say people just sign up for NESBA events and pick a spot to all pit together. Toss some screenname stickers on plastics and it'll be easier to remember who is who.

I will have more and different kinds of stickers for everyone to sticker up their rides next year. I am working on it at the moment.

I think we need a big banner, put it up on the EZ-Ups, and have everyone pit together. As many of you know, we have a pretty regular CLSB group that pits together, the more, the merrier!

I was thinking about a banner for my ez-up or maybe getting mine silkscreened with the logo.

And everyone just pitting together at a NESBA day is no where near the same thing.

I have an idea for you to knock around: How about just doing one annual CLSB track fest? You don't have to do one each month again ya know. I think the response would be pretty huge.

So why not block out one weekend with NESBA at Blackhawk or ACC North a year. Try to get first booking rights for CLSB members. After a certain date, if we don't fill it, NESBA opens it up to everyone else... just a thought.
