Just like a 2 stroke dirtbike, it has to be serviced, refreshed or rebuilt every so often. The best thing to do especially with one of these bikes is to keep a log of how much time you have on the bike. There are a number of people in the area that race and/or ride 2 stroke GP machines. I want one.

Saw some for sale for $7k-$10k in a quick search. I think i'd just buy another 600 instead.

Get a new one for next year. They're all sold out this year. All you have to do is wire 21k to the broker and wait 6 fucking months. Then one day.. This will appear in your garage..

I concur, I am getting rid of two more bikes when I have a chance to take the pics and get them posted.

EX250 and ZX12R are going, hope to replace with a RS250 Cup, and an R6 or 06-GSXR6. Track only, of course.

I think I am done with the street until it is time to get a geezer glide or a gold wing.

No offense Brian, I have nothing against the Yamaha, but I'm more of a Honda fan. Regardless. Where does one purchase a GP machine these days? All the web sites I have seen say "sold out".

Pretty cool they give you all the spares.

Only other thing you need is a spare set of wheels for rains.

Engine Spares:
Cylinder Assemblies
Crank Assembly
Pistons / Piston Rings
Bearings
Clutch Plates
Reed Valves
O-Rings, Cylinder Gaskets, Oil Seals, etc.
Body Spares:
Disk pads (front & back)
Washers & assorted fasteners

That is a close and personal friends garage. Tom has every toy you can imagine and he rides the shit out of his bikes also. The cool thing is he is 70 years old and run laptimes quicker than most. I think he showed Rob the fast line around Jennings this last month when we went down. His bikes are cleaner and nicer than the ones in the Barber museum. Here is a pick of him and Jenya down at Jennings GP. He is the nicest guy I hve ever met.

You will regret quiting. Don't do it. Even if you go to one weekend per year and/or do a track day, it's still doing what you love doing. Rite?

I think I'm going to grow a beard and just drive around aimlessly in my Porsche 911 Turbo which I'll convince myself to buy when I quit and take my kids to kick boxing school so I can fight them.

No lie. Greyhound's a nice guy, and his machines are unbelievably immaculate with every trick piece you can think of. Seriously, they're so clean, you could probably use parts as surgical implements with no risk of infection.
