Grattan open trackday April 13th

Sunday April 13th, $60 open trackday.

Just thought I would make a thread of its own with this date.

Same lay out as April 6th for those attending that day. Pay at the gates.

Hmm...I'll have to see what I have done to the bike by then. You got me thinking though.

Nope, Grattan doesn't care. You just pay the $60 and ride all day.

I'm soooo there. Just crious...but it's bikes only right??? I've heard of soem tracks mixing bieks and cars...btu that seems ay too dangerous. A car spinnig out into you would be really bad not to mention cars have the ability to spin out to the inside... something a bikes rarely does...even whne highsiding... allowing a closely following rider to pass them up the inside

$60 for all day? Awesome. Is there any kind of structure to it or do you just hop on the track when you're ready to ride?

I'm a little concerned about riding the bike to the track, though, if I wad it up, I'm kinda stuck on transportation home.

You are not going to want to ride on the track after the ride up there, let alone ride back after pushing it on the track all day.

Trailer it....

Oddy....well im that man! Thats whats up with that price! hahaah.

But for real, the day is hosted by "Grattan" directly. That is why its so cheap. All friday practice days before a race round are also only $60. Generally the track is $2100 a day for 20 riders.

But for those asking

1) this is only bikes
2) no race license or school needed. But I strongly suggest if you have never been on a track ever, to learn some basic track stuff, like hand in the air, etc.
3) It is structured, 2-3 groups, depending on number of riders. Generally 20 minute sessions is the norm. Novice, expert, street, or Novice odd numbers, Novice evens, Experts.

Generally at race practice there are fewer experts arounds.

***Im not hosting this day nore did I mean to jump on anyone elses date. This is a day hosted by Grattan. I posted since the same sort of day will be run April 6th but the weather may be shit so some may want to ride Grattan this weekend also or instead****

Damn, I was hoping it woudl just be open. 20 minutes is fien, but the 40 minute break is too long. Opne days I can get in abotu 15 15-20 minute sessions. gives you a lot of flexibility.

Maybe there will be a small turnout and they will run it like a "test & tune" day.

For Christ sake, it's only $60. I'll take every 15 min. and sit 45min. I don't care

I've only seen that done at Gingerman and they ran in different sessions of course.

Is you haven't ridden at Grattan, I highly recommend it. The Laguna Seca of the Mid-West!

Well, if you are all about buring up tires, if they run three sessions you can easily jump in every other session, ive done that before. Harry the head corner worker at the gate (drives the greed dodge like a mad man on the track) is a cool guy.
