Since the topic seems so hot in the other threads, whos coming out?

I'll be running HWSS, HWSB, and ULGP, and maybe ultralight GP for grins.

Alex, you should call CCS and ask Eric or Ryan if you can preregister for your races before you have your license. That way you get better grid positions.

This is the number Phone: 817-246-1127

And this is the website for the schedule of events ccsracing.com

Don't forget to fill out your sponsor and contingency lists and turn them into tech and registration. You will almost for sure do good enough to win some tire money and who know what else.

I'm pretty sure that's still true. Tire contingency. if you place in the top 3 or 5 with some manufacturers you get a credit card two monthsish after the race with some money on it to buy more tires. You have to jump through all the hoops though and list them as a sponsor, fill out the tech form, place well and register on the man's site. There are a number of other companies you have to do that with too.

Either way, I look forward to you lapping me. :P

Maybe both? I meant Ultralight whatever. I did pretty good last year in that race, but now that its combined with the white plates, I'm gonna need to find a few seconds. Are you gonna be there for the Friday practice day?

Yaw, we'll be there Friday.

There's usually only for sure two Experts in ULWSB, and then two Amateurs that have been the regulars to show up... everyone else only does a race here or there. We had double the normal grid sizes at RA but I'm guessing there will only be 5-7 entrants for the next Blackhawk.

Anyhoo, I really want to drop at least 4 seconds off my laptimes, but I don't know if my brain and right wrist will cooperate yet. Another reason for Xian running the Hawk is that I'm hoping he can come back and coach me on what gears work in which corners and where I should be braking. (For instance, I should be able to go from the Bus stop to T4 without letting off, but I do, and usually even use brakes... derrr... I'm a wuss.)

There's a bunch of different things, I could try a stock rotor, or get a kit a guy makes to put a better caliper and master cylinder on. Or I could swap out the whole front end. For now I just try cleaning the rotor, caliper and put new pads in. It's not like the Hawk needs much to stop it, it's just that what's on there now is not overly confidence inspiring.
but then... I shouldn't be using them so much anyway...

I hope so! I'm still waitin on 4&6 to get around to checking the frame. Once they give her a clean bill of health, I've got everything I need to have her back and better than ever.

If not, there's always the stupid Gixxer (which should have bold new graphics! ) and I'm almost 100% sure that'll I'll run the KTM in Ultralight and maybe even LWSB. The supermoto slicks altered the geometry such that theres some headshake at higher speed, so I'll have the raise the forks in the triples to compensate

Then I'm a wuss too! I roll off a bit and maybe just breath on the front binders a bit there too.
