Track question

I'd like to get a track day done before the season is over. I know most of them are full by now. Well I'd like to go see what it is first, so I was thinking of riding to Autobahn North tomorrow just to spectate. How much does it cost to watch the event? Also what is the best track for a newb around this area?

$5 to spectate at ABN tomorrow.

Good starter tracks in the area: Autobahn North, Blackhawk Farms.

Tomorrow is going to be hot so I'd suggest getting there early. I think 1st sessions are at 9. Come on out. Should be a good number of CLSB folks too.

ACC also has cars running the south course more often than not. A lil bonus if you will

Sign up for the next blackhawk event in september if you can. All of us will be out there and it will be a blast.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

+1 on coming out tomorrow and signing up for labor day weekend at blackhawk.

1s off please consider joing nesba.com THEY ARE our sponsoring track day provider. if you didnt notice they allow me to give away 1 FREE slot per track day they do in the midwest. so sign up to enter the raffle in that forum.

also ACC is being rented out by some other track day org, that ISNT affiliated with CLSB. but none the less fun to go to a local track and check it out.

other note, autobahn SUCKS ASS for viewing spectators!

Damit, didn't make it out there today, friend who was supposed to go with me had bike problems. A year ago he got a chain from a dealer, but dumbasses at parts dept sold him a 520 chain instead of 525, so no it's stretched to hell.

Hop in the car and go to ACC North today. $5 to see it. Perhaps they'll let you sit in a B meeting or two.

Hope to see you at Blackhawk, that is where the real riding will be. Tons O Fun!

Don't go watch, go ride!!! Not all the events are full just yet. Sign up now and go ride before all the spots are sold out. Going to watch is wasting valuable time that you can be riding on the track. All the events are run by great people and they will be happy to guide you through the day. The people pitted next to you will help you out too so no worries. All you have to do is register, tech your bike, attend a riders meeting, and go ride. Jusk ask and people will help. Trust me, I'm a quiet, shy guy and I had absolutely zero problems the first trackday I attended. I went in not even knowing what a trackday was about. Check out Wink's site, www.apexjunkie.com that is a great site and it should answer most of your questions. Another thing you could do is, PM another member that will be attending the same event and ask if you could pit next to each other. The main thing is to go have fun. Our two local tracks, blackhawk farms and autobahn, are great for beginners.
