BHF or ACC better for the spectator? 9/1/07

Looking for something to do on Sat as my bike is in the shop waiting on a new tire.

As a spectator, would ACC or BHF be better this Saturday?

No question, Blackhawk!

You can go anywhere, shoot photos anywhere, and everyone is hospitable and helpful. You can get to ANY corner on the track and watch. PLUS, there will be a big Chili CookOff on Sat night as well.

None of those things are true at ACC.

For spectating, BHF. You can really only see the front straight and maybe one turn at ACC.

Yup, no contest Blackhawk is home for many racers and trackday riders near Chicago and southern Wisconsin. Pack yourself a cooler with some beer and food and go have a good time. Talk to people, track day riders, racers, ask questions... they love it. Bother as many CLSB people as you can. LOL..

I like ACC better when riding, but BHF is much better for spectators

Did ACC go under new management or something? I remember they would let me go everywhere to take pics. They even let me climbed the tower to take pics. I don't like the $5 entry fee though. Fock even us riders have to pay $5.

ACC is on my shit list, I tried to take some photos from turn six, next thing i know a truck is pulling up behind me and the guy kicks me out. The only place you are allowed to spectate there is by the pits the rest of the place is off limits unless your an ACC member and own property there. (this was told to me directly by the management, not rumor) They can kiss my ass.

BHF on the other habd is awesome. you will have a blast up there.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

BHF. ACC is terrible for the spectator. They also don't have a cook out or chili contest.

BHF for sure.

At ACC I think part of it is security, they don't want people messing about back by the member garages which I can understand. They also don't have any "spectator fencing" in a lot of places so there's safety concerns as well. You can go up in the towers which is nice, and the facilities are nicer, and we've done a couple cookouts there - but BHF is WAY better for spectating.

If I go I will be on four wheels. Waiting for a new tire for my Firebolt. Picked up some really sharp rocks yesterday courtesy of the roadwork on Manheim (sp?) outside of O'Hare.
