Anybody going to this one? Weather is iffy (30-40F) so I'll probably run the old Qualifiers instead of the Super Corsa Pro (race) tires on the sv 650. SS motor and fork cartridges not ready yet so it will be a slow day. Hope to not have to use the rain tires....

Gotta change the clutch on the Subaru Forester so I don't get stranded!

If you just show up, traditionally it's like 25 or 30 bucks to ride. I'm not freezing my nut sack off to ride in 30 degree weather. If it's going to be 50 or above I'll go up there. 200 + miles both ways is a waste of gas money if you can't really get in some good laps.

I did this the last two years...I don't think I'll be doing it again. It was fun, but I just can't justify the gas money for 3 session on the track. Last year we drove up there, in the middle of the night, in the snow, over black ice half the way up there (trucks and cars all over the road and in the ditches. It was crazy. The trailer was all over the place.). Had to come back and make it up another day which had a lot better wheather, but still not worth the gas IMO.

I went to this 2 years ago to break in my new motard. Had alot of fun. I will be going on Sunday if it is at least forcast for 45 and sunny. Right now sunday is looking like 38 and rain. It will be a game time desicion. I already have 4 trackdays in this year in warm weather so i am not dying to get out there.

It works for CCS licensing now too. I got Eric to approve it two years ago, you just have to take the written test b4 you race. If gas was $3.40/gal and it wasn't 14 hours of driving pending weather it'd be worth it. stupid gas.

if gas WAS'nt 3.40/gal and our hauler had agreed , we would be doing this day...
i was all psyched to do it and then a series of unfortunate events happened and we have to sit it out.

Its going to be a high of "38" though. That means you better keep the green coolant in your bike.

ive hung up my race suit for the moment and just about liquidated all my track merchandise i had. i am enjoying the break for the moment.

last year was hard, and this year i dont know what it holds, but i need another year off. i have way to many things going on right now and i didn't want the EASE to get right back in. (temptation)

not to mention the fact i needed a new bike, some differant gear, etc. it was a good time to sell it all off cause when i do return i want some shiny stuff to throw down with and DOWN the track

I'm in for this track day, I was invited to help run the school Saturday. Hopefully it warms up to get some decent laps in to make sure everything is working rite with the bike. I'm going to freez my balls off.

I'm not going. Bike is not ready - forks cartridges being designed in Tampa, SS motor @ Moons - won't accomplish much - we're not racing there this year so more cost/risk for no good reason except for fun - hum riding around in 37 F max fun????- NOT!!
