Heartland Park Roll Call

Anyone going to Kansas City April 25-27 for the very first CCS Midwest race? Just wondering cuz my hub is doing this for the first time... we'll be there the whole weekend... I believe it's double points....

I'd love to but its too far. 9 hours each way. 591 miles from my house, 2 1/2 tanks of gas in the van that holds 33 gallons. I get roughly 15 mpg. So I figure 250 bucks in gas in the van, then another 40 bucks for the bike. 300 dollars in gas. Plus I don't have Friday or Monday off. Another 300 in race entries, plus I haven't bought my license yet so thats another 150 bucks. 1000 dollar weekend for sure. No can do. LOL!!!!

the way you put it, wow i wouldn't want to go either.... but we paid for the license months ago, and the gas, well it's inevitable since my hub already paid for the race, so..... paying little by little and ahead of time makes it easier to "not notice" how much money we've spent lmao

I'm doing the Team Challenge, low budget. I just have to reup my race license for this year and show up in my car (less gas$$), and race someone elses bike.

It's a pretty nice opportunity, no race entries, not as much gas, no major investments, I'm donating some leftover tire contingency money from last year, but all in all

Thats pimp shit rite there. Em Jay and Steve invited me to do the team challenge at Daytona but I couldn't get a flight down there with the way my work schedule turned out. It would have been the shit. Fly down there on airline points, rent a car with rental car points and get a hotel with hotel points. Show up, throw my leathers and gear on, race the shit out of Em Jays, bike hand it off to the next team member, kick back, crack a beer for a bit and then hop back on the plane and come home.

You only need one bike. You can have a backup but it's not required.
