Depends on how you define OK... Physically, yeah sure he'll live. http://www.ccsforum.com/index.php/topic,20412.0.html

Mentally... well that's another story. Was he ever *really* there to begin with? Sorry it went down like that, I was really hoping to ride with ya next weekend

From what I'm reading on the CCS board it was a fucking crash fest there last weekend. Lots of people went to the hospital and lots of other injured. Is that track really that dangerous? I've never been there.

Yeah, after perusing the threads it looked like it was bad. Hall's crash looked like it was particularly nasty. I can't believe some of the descriptions of that corner with no run off like that.

So what's the deal, you crest over a hill in turn one full boil with the throttle to the stop as fast as your rocket will go and there's no run off on the outside of that turn? WOW!

The track layout is great, but the walls can seriously mess you up if you crash at the wrong time and place. There's turn alpha, flat out kink at the end of the front straight that has you potentially braking hard for Turn 1 while still leaning over a little, and if you lose the front, you are headed for a wall at 150mph. Brian Hall went down there and was luckyyyyyy to hit the wall with his backside instead of his head, and I think Superdave and Brian Lacy had the same kinda crash in the exact same area.

I really don't know why people don't boycott this track. Someone is going to get killed. Didn't the Formula USA riders boycott it a while back of even the MotoSt riders did last year I think, no??

Not to change the subject but I have heard the same thing about Gateway Race Track. I have not been to either though - just seen the videos and pictures. Neither look good at certain angles.

What do the internet and Channel 11 have in common? They are both a window to the world; put it out there and do not be surprised who will see it.

Hey guys, as you already probably know, I'm mostly fine. Chalk this weekend up to the learning curve. I'll do a full-up post when the hand is out of the cast...

I'm planning on going back out in June or July; the full-on seasonal assault will have to happen next year. For the record, I placed 2nd 3 times, 4th once, 5th once, and crashed while looking at the open track in front of the guy in the lead. Everyone warned me about this racing shit; boy-oh-boy were they ever right.

Glad your okay. Good your humor has not suffered, congrats on the nice finishes, and heal well my friend.

Okay, now that the nice crap is over with, when are you getting back on the bike to get the job done???

Season has only started, do you think Lorenzo will miss the next GP???

If you think us friends of yours are going to deal with you milking this situation, being a couch potatoe, watching "As the Sprocket Turns", and looking for wife simpathy, your mistaken!!!

And what's this talk about next year? You have commited to winning this year. We are not here to listen to your petty issues, get out there and get the job done.

GET BACK SOON JIM.
