Gron4 photo's - those guys are ridiculous!

Those boys over at Gron4 are just ridiculous! Look at the clarity of these shots.

If you look closely, you can see the yellow plates and the old numbers under the white tape

If ya aint rubbin, ya aint racing ... I guess

Here's a link to the full sequence from Gron4, something like 8.5 frames per second! If you scroll down quickly, it looks like a video!

Yeah, the Canon 300mm F2.8 mega$$$ pro lens, among other goodies. The sharpness and shallow DOF on that lens is insane.

Still impressed by these shots every time I see them.

In the "if you ain't rubbin" picture, what's that other guy looking at??? You're turning left, right? Looks like you really surprised him.

EDIT - break dancing....nice.

I was tempted to cross post your images over in the gear thread and say "see? he walked away! he is not dead!"

Amazing shots... Glad you walked away... Little surprised you didn't just will those wheels back down onto the ground and ride it out.. That's what I'd have done

Nice shots!
Ron, do you even remember how many times you've gone down now or is it too many? Have you walked away from all of them?
That's definitely a positive note for gear and how it's generally safer to crash at the track than the street

I think the track versus street comparision is the key point, as opposed to gear vs. no gear. The odds that a street crash ends up (or begins) in the rider hitting a stationary object is much higher; on the track there is plenty of room for runoff. I'd feel safer riding on the track (by myself) with no gear versus riding on the street with none. That said with increased speed comes increased risk regardless of the setting. There have been some nasty accidents at 'A' and race paces I'm sure we are all aware of.

That is the exit of Turn 6. He tried to make an inside pass and didn't quite get it done and wound up literally UNDER my bike fairing to fairing with my elbow leaning down on him. Tight racing with Ducato, he is very aggressive.

Who's the #1 plate that took you out? Were you going so fast that other had to 'ride above their head' because they 'couldn't be slower than the new white plate'? I am such a stirrer.
