Blah, I wish I would have known about this earlier, I will be there as a spectator and I would have liked to have participated but I have no leathers yet...

There will be more opportunities this year I am sure of it

Be careful with local trackdays, especially Gingerman. I'm not sure what the deal is for this particular track day, or if they're still under the same management, but I went to one of Gingerman's "Open Track Days" a year ago and they announced that no more than 7 bikes could be on the track at once.

That's not a misprint, there was no info regarding that on their advertised track day, and it was strictly enforced. Some horseshit about their insurance policy. It wasn't a problem until about 11 am when there were 40 plus riders trying to get what they paid for, and what was sold to them, and what was definitely not happening, no matter how far you drove to get there. Several riders demanded their money back.

Truth be told, you usually get what you pay for, especially with track time. I've found most discount trackdays to be lacking in the number of ambulances, corner workers, realistic tech inspection, etc...

It's something to consider when you get crashed because it was "self tech" or when the Track Marshal is inexperienced and doesn't know what they're doing because it's a "Dealer Day" or whatever and sends you out into a speeding bike. I've seen it happen.

These are exactly the reasons I quit riding with just about everyone but NESBA over the years.

Hardcore racers looking for set up time will deal with just about anything to get their practice. You may find out how much you really do like NESBA once you survive a few discount trackdays.

Well I am sure there will be more than 7 bikes on at once since it is the day before a wera race. But yes anything could happen.

The day I described was the Friday before a CCS weekend, and was advertised on the CCS forum as a "racer practice day" put on by Gingerman.

Hopefully Gingerman management learned their lesson already, or is under different management.
