Black masking tape?

I saw some people use black tape to tape up their light during the track day, are they special tape and where I can buy it? Looks way better then the blue tape. Thanks!

I used to use the wider black electrical tape. Then trim it to fit nice. always looked better for pictures than that blue shit.

I would use both. The painters tape (blue stuff) comes off a helluva lot easier than the electrical tape. Put a layer of painters tape down then use the electrical (blocks light better), this way you aren't spending an hour getting that shit off. Or... Just go buy plastics

yea, as mentioned, hockey tape which they use on the sticks.

it's also known as gaffer's tape and can be found at many camera shops. I know calumet photo stocks it because I use it at work and that's where I got the last roll. It's not cheap, but it sticks like hell and leaves no residue when you remove it.
