Is this a racetrack??

Was looking around wisconsin on google maps, and came across what looks like a pretty cool track. When I looked it up though, I couldn't find anything on it. They have streetviews of the area, too bad there's a big fence surrounding it

It's on Walberg Rd, Bohners Lake, WI. Comes up even on map view, hard to miss it

Who wants to do a clsb track day??

here's a link to it race track

my computer sucks right now.

it might be a proving ground for gm/ford/chrysler. The road looks in bad condition. Or it can just be a company that has roads to pipes or something.

that is totally a track!!! It may have been shut down for noise or something similar, Proving grounds are also possible.

Edit; I zoomed in and did a little looking. That IS a test facility. Skid pad, g-force circle, etc.

When santas village closed down. I was using google aerial to check the place out. It's surrounded by woods. They had some weird service roads going around santas village.

Santa fe speedway is gone I believe from google aerial. I might have the original images saved still on one of my puters. Google started off with 10?year old satellite images and santa fe was being torn down at the time.

I think arizona/nevada has proving grounds too for the big three and some of the imports. GM owns a lot of property in michigan. All these secret places but it sucks that a lot of stuff gets closed down.

try that one out!

I saw it... 10-15 years ago.... When we were looking at buying a few hundred vehicles (different lifetime.. I was managing a import/export business)

That track was cool as hell..
I'll look around and see if I can find better pics.. they were testing some huge AMG 10-15 ton trucks on it while I was there.. I couldn't believe some of the stuff they were doing with.. basically small semi trucks!

Here are a few sites with a few more pictures

i was there 2 years ago checking it out. it is an old proving grounds for gm i think. the place is in rough shape. the fences are pretty serious, it would be tough to sneak in and get a good look.

Yeah, It'd be pretty bad ass to own that and fix it up (might be a little costly though )

the smaller oval with the circuit inside is 2 miles long alone...pretty big place.

Wonder if there's any way to get a place to allow one to drive around for a bit??

There is a street with my last name in Burlington. It's named after a relative of mine, I guess he use to own part of the town, long long ago.

I walked the full course this summer..... the ravine on the front straight
is huge now..... . and the cut between there and the Monza Turn has
been filled in with 3 metric buttloads of dirt.

I once rode down that straight on a Mountain Bike..... fun !
