Everyone knows that the Stoner just loves to race, but doesn’t like all the BS that surrounds the paddock nor does he always enjoy answering questions and explaining himself, and of late has hinted that he won’t be dragging out this racing career for many years, and with wife Adriana who has been his shadow over these last year’s is now at home with newborn daughter Alessandra, the Australian is starting to feel a little homesick.

I'm just surprised Lorenzo won a race already this year seeing as he can't develope a bike and only won a championship on a bike Rossi developed. All the good riders should retire so Rossi can win a championship and be good at developing bikes again.

I would give credit to JL for Dev'ing the 1K as Vale was gone on the 800, no?

Either that or it was all Ben and he enjoys the mid pack battles more than just getting the "Monster Energy Hole Shot" and checking out - BORRRRRRRING

Nakamoto suggested that Rossi is in a prime position to prove that point right now.

So to put some thought behind the retirement talk:

1. Marco's death has to weigh even a little bit on Casey. sure everyone is still out there pushing hard, but time does catch up and every season, every race is a chance for something bad to happen.

2. Look at what has happened to Rossi in the past two years, and he's not even past his prime. He has tarnished his 'GOAT' image by failing for the first time. Casey may want to save himself the same. Quit while you are ahead.

3. (Most importantly) everyone know these guys only race for the trim. He got his brolly girl, so might as well pack it an and head home.

I do really enjoy Stoner sometimes, crybaby bastard that he is

(seriously, this is great)

http://motomatters.com/news/2012/05/...rumors_do.html

Quote:
Would the impending rule changes aimed at reducing costs and trying to increase the show persuade him to quite, Stoner was asked?

"This would convince me," Stoner was emphatic, before returning to a theme he has talked about before. "They've got to stop changing the rules. Even this thing, that Jeremy Burgess suggested, that 600cc would be better. How would 600cc be the best way forward? Honestly? It would make it even more expensive trying to eke every little bit of power out of it and it's just going to be the same problem." The answer to improving the races was simple, he said. "Just leave it at 1000cc. Just leave it. Don't change the rules. Give us a couple more liters of fuel. Don't change those rules. Keep the weight limit, and don't change those rules. It's so simple just to make a championship, and that would create racing. Simple as that. But no, they have to keep changing the rules to make sure the sport is spicy enough, but they don't realize that the riders will make the difference when everything's left alone."

As much as I HATE to admit it, the lil bastid can ride and has talent - Reminds me of a young #3 (but can win on a big bike.......sans WSBK) of how he acts "off the track"

The season he won on the Duc was amazing to see how he rode - His wife is smoking hot - He is a multi millionaire and 99% of the teams in ANY paddock would kill to have him and I sit at a computer in a small high rise condo and type about how fast and cool I once was

/He Wins
