2013 AMA SX Thread aka Bubba Sucks-with **SPOILERS**

Okay ladies, lets use this thread for all things SX this season

Tonight is Round 2 (or Dos if you are Stan) in Phoenix - The SX world got turned upside down last weekend with the finishes of Milsaps and Cap't Christ, my main ginger and happy holy roller himself, the one and only Canard as well as saw everyone's Fav RV2 ride like we've have NEVER seen him and not in a good way - Reed looked like he was testing tires and of course, Dungey got a 3rd - Bam Bam showed promise and shocker, there was controversy around Bubba and his knee - Whew.........also Hanny threw down a dick block pass and Hill crashed out AGAIN

So, PHX, I think RV will come back to true form and be Challanged by Bam Bam - Look for this battle a lot this season - I think Davi and Trey will be up there as well and of course, Dungey will be there

This season is just really tough to try and pick so I just have to say it, "where the fuck is Jlaw?"

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"

This could be my favorite season yet...DEEP field this year...and Tomac was setting some of the fastest times of the night, period, on a 250 last week. That dude flat flies.

He has Roczen covered - I really believe he can take all 7 rounds

I'll reiterate what I say every year.
I just hope there's a reason to watch the last round in Las Vegas. I dont think there is a favorite this year. I guess RV2..

Watch out for Canard this season, if he can stay healthy.

+1...The kid can ride and no doubt has desire and heart. IF he can avoid any more mistakes like last night in Phoenix and build his confidence just a tad he'll be right up there at the end!

For his 2nd round back after breaking his back, I would say the kid has already superseded ALL expectations by far - Pretty much all the riders goofed it last night with the exception of Bam Bam who is the real threat to the top 4 this season - Maybe make that 5 if Saps can stay the course

Best part of the whole round was Albie and his Goon Squad Boner Air over the Finish Jump to hold off Dungey in the LCQ - Ronnie Mac lives in SX

That starting gate broad is shhhhhmokin too. She's got the hip shake down pat. Down pat.

Stewart, Reed...those two are going to struggle to stay anywhere near the front consistently. Getting old sucks.

...and good grief, Tomac would be a threat to win in the 450 class on his damn 250! That dude is head and shoulders above the rest of the field.

I am hearing that RV made the switch to the new Air Forks this season and that may be part of the problem with his "losing the front" - You can test year round on the same dirt but said dirt is not the same as race condition, different city and temps dirt - Lost about 2 lbs with the new set up but he seems to be struggling

You mean the designs he ripped off from Shift and TwoTwo?

He always posts fastest times in Practice and takes his heat race when he has 8 laps and half the competition - Add 12 more laps and the other half and.........BUBBA SUCKS

Is interesting that Kawasaki allows him to do that when the production 450 runs Kayaba.

I was at the race and RV appears to be the fastest. He needs to do better at the start. Plus, the ruts in the corners made passing a little difficult.

Tomac is really fast but so is Rokzen.

Take care and ride save,
Brian

Wrong as usual! LOL

http://www.dirtrider.com/features/seven-mx/

Entrenched in high-fashion and art, Laguna Beach, California seemed like the perfect locale for James Stewart to announce his own line of motocross gear, Seven. Last night, Stewart, joined by motocross icon Troy Lee, unveiled this new line of racewear. Though Troy Lee is the artistic brain behind the gear, Seven will be separate from Troy Lee Designs line of off-road apparel.

“I didn’t want to use my name for the brand because I want it to be bigger than myself,” explains Stewart. Showing his dedication to this new venture, Stewart has been living in Laguna Beach working side-by-side with Troy Lee. Instead of the long process of mailing samples back and forth, Stewart was on hand to do testing and make decisions during the last four to five months.

“This is not a signature line, this is not James Stewart gear, this is a separate brand of gear,” says Stewart, who made it clear that he wants other pro riders and fans of other pro riders to wear Seven gear. In fact, Troy Lee says that TLD/Lucas Oil/Honda riders, including Cole Seely and Christian Craig, “might be wearing the gear later in the season.” Seven has also sponsored up and coming amateur racers Jace Owen and Ashton Hayes

Go listen to the PulpMX Podcast from last night where Stewart himself spoke about this - He said he has full control over his line, design, color, fabric, etc etc and TLD does the rest so YES, I stand by that he looked at all the hype Reed was getting over his Shift Gear and wanted to cash in on the "Retro" look that Reed brought back

To be honest, I was actually impressed with his spot - He mentioned that if he comes out and says, "My Knee is fucked and I can't race" then he will be labeled a quitter - If he races like he is doing an not doing well, people will say he has a bad knee and should not race - Either way he cannot please everyone - He still thinks he can win so that is why he is still griding up - Basically he just does not have the strength to go at his pace for 20 laps - He can practice and qual and knows he only won he heat in Phx due to Alessi holding the filed up behind him as his lap times were almost 2 seconds slower than the next guy in position
