If I have learned anything after watching SuperCross 2013 it is that you never know......

I of course would love to see Vale do it and it pains me to even type this but JL99 is as smooth and consistent as one could ever hope to be - Dani (to me) just seems to always come up short (pun intended) when the W is on the line - I LOVE that MM is shaking the cages of the Aliens and really wish Moaner was still racing so we could see he and Vale battle

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"

I am picking Marquez as "Brilliant but with inconsistent teething problems".

But it's going to be hella-fun to watch.

^ I tend to agree with this prediction, but I won't be surprised if Rossi takes the title. I don't think he will run away with it, but he might capitalize on others' misfortune and pull off a title. It would be legendary .... again.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.

Lorenzo again. Rossi knows what's up:

^^^ this would be my picks as well. Dani is fast, no doubt about it. If it was time trial racing I have little doubt he would win it all. He just doesn't seem to have the fire or content of character or eye of the tiger or whatever it is to come out on top of the top two personifies and while I think Marquez is immensely talented expecting him to win out of the gate is probably a bit too much. He's very fast but he tends to crash a bit too often

Quote:
Jorge Lorenzo wasn't the quickest rider Thursday on the final day of testing at Sepang; that honor went to Dani Pedrosa.

But Lorenzo planted the most fear into his rivals by ending his test with a full race simulation of 20 laps at Sepang. Reigning World Champion Lorenzo kept his M1 planted in the 2:01 lap zone, with just three laps in the 2:02.0 to 2:02.2 range and one at 2:05. You won't win any popularity contests with fans by suggesting that Valentino Rossi won't win every race he enters in 2013 but Lorenzo's pace seems almost unstoppable.

Lorenzo finished the full race sim 36 seconds quicker than the race record at Sepang, ironically set in 2010 by Lorenzo's then and current teammate, Valentino Rossi. That was Rossi's last MotoGP victory.

This may just be Pedrosa's year. If not:

Rossi
Pedrosa
Lorenzo
M&M

No rider in his first season from the small bikes to the big bikes should finish top three. If so, GP really is in a bad state.

All I know is that this year is going to be very interesting

From what I see, Moto GP doesn't start til April, correct?

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

He's already fucked himself up more in the test so he's not in for a good season. New bike (it's a DUC LOL) and injuries < CRTs that are catching the back of the pack.

Jorge finished 4th in his rookie season and was sitting in second place until he high-sided himself to the moon and sat out a couple races. And some are arguing that MM is even more impressive than Jorge was in the early days of riding a GP bike.

Last year was Pedrosa's best shot I think...he was able to stay healthy on a bike with a distinct advantage over the field, and couldn't quite get it done. I think that's the closest he ever gets.

1. Lorenzo
2. Pedrosa
3. Rossi
4. Marquez
5. Hayden (yes, Hayden)

True .... but the learning curve will bite him once or twice I suspect and ruin his chances for this season.
