Wow, great racing is back in motogp. Lorenzo was unbeatable, he was 1st into corner 1 and never looked back - consistently turning fast lap after lap.
After a few laps it was Pedrosa & Marquez fighting for 2nd and third place with Cal right on their asses. A few seconds behind them was Bradl,Rossi & Dovi. Mid race Rossi took Bradl and looked like he would take 5th but kept the hammer down to eventually catch the 3 with about 7 laps to go. He got past Cal on the straight (His bike was way underpowered) and got on Pedrosa's tail and quickly made it past setting his sights on Marquez. He took Marquez in the corners but Marquez came back in the straight with 2 to go. Rossi made another great pass and was able to hold Marquez off for 2nd place. Awsome job by Marquez, Rossi and Lorenzo. The ending is a must see !

I wanted the exact opposite

Rossi did ride great I will say. but I just want some new blood up there as well.

Dovi took big chances at the begining and ended up right with Hayden, be funny if on the cool down lap Hayden say y u werk so hard. hahaha!

Not often that you can say that the machine is holding back the rider but Rossi has proven that the Ducati machine truly held him back. Not sure how Stoner pulled off doing so well on the Ducati those years. Seems to be the only one who could. Rossi back on Yamaha is going to be lethal.

That was an amazing race to watch once Rossi made the pass to get out of that second group of riders. I just hope someone can compete with Lorenzo. It doesn't seem like he was even in the race, just quietly steps away at the front and then just keeps pulling away.

If Rossi hadn't have been so aggressive early on to get himself dropped back from 4th to 7th or wherever he ended up, do you think he could have challenged Lorenzo for the win?

Good question. It must piss off the leader when they lead so much and all the coverage is about 2nd and 3rd place fights or some other fight way back

Duc was the 1st Mfg to get the 800 "right"and then the rest spent more $$ and passed them up - Also, some bikes fit some riders style - Not a lot of guys can ride the Kawi KX 450f the way the current 2x Champ Viliopoto does but he makes it look easy

Plus, never take away the fact that Stoner is very talented.............but complains when the rest of the field gets on evenly matched machines

F*ck Stoner.

Yeah I think Rossi would have had something for Lorenzo but we will never know. Rossi did put down some great laptimes and just like in years past he would come from behind but he came up one short of winning.

Liek I predicted in the other thread before the season started

Rossi
Lorenzo
MM
Petro bot

Spies will finsh outside the top 10.

Why do you think Spies will be so low? Won't be able to handle the new bike well enough?

He is a 1000cc Hard In Hard out Point and shoot Mofo - He has said a few times that he struggles in GP with the Smooth that is needed to ride these bikes how they are designed to be ridden.

My call, he rides out his Pramac Duc Contract and either retires or goes WSBK

He is more into Pedals than Throttles......

I think he is going to try to do "better than expected" on the Suckass Ducati
to position himself to be "the guy" when Suzuki comes back to MotoGP.

This.

You guys forget he is recuperating from shoulder surgery. He didn't participate in earlier season testing like the others, Qatar was his"test". Not saying he's going to podium but he'll do ok.

Rossi is good. He got in over his head at the start of the race taking the wrong apex in some turns to get the spot, and going far too hot and losing 3-4 positions and then havin to fight back all over again.

Duc needs to listen to their riders. I'd like to see Hayden get up there if he could. But he won't unless duc makes changes. Hayden has the ability to get top 3-5 spots. He runs consistently always at 5-9 placing every race.

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

.
I would wager that with the incident that took him back to P7, his tires were warm enough that had Pedo not had such horrible corner speed causing Vale to have to check up, he would have been fine - Watch it again, he is fine, has the lean just fine and Dani is just SLOW in that corner and Vale had to stand it up or take him out

Thats what I saw anyways.....

Rossi took a chance with Dovi early on. Didn't work out, but would have been awesome if it had. He fought back later anyway. Based on the lap times, I think he could have ran closer to Jorge, but he would not have beaten him.

If you ain't with us, then it's just bad news.
