Panoramio

I finally got around to adding a few pictures here.
It's a really neat app - my smugmug interacts with google maps a bit but Panoramio is much better.

I will be adding some more racing pics - here is my first one for far

(since I don't have geotagging in the SLR I am manually geotagging the corner the shots were taken)

Anyone else playing with it?
Let's see your stuff too

I was looking into Geotagging, but it seems either cumbersome, or expensive...so I've just not gotten around to it. I'm looking forward to seeing my photos show up on Google Maps and especially the new Bing maps.

Well

I have a sony tagger that I haven't honestly been using much. Maybe used it 3 or 4x
http://www.navigadget.com/index.php/...h-sony-gps-cs1
this thing - it snaps a location update every 15 seconds or so - then you can stitch the info into the metadata of your photos with a handful of apps (robotag i think is the name of the one i used)

to be honest most of my geotagged photos are iphone photos. It auto tags.. So when I shoot I will snap one photo with the iphone and thus have my geotag I can use for the others.

many of these photos I manually tagged - it was easy enough. Upload the picture and then there is a search box to add the location it was taken. I typed in Road America Elkhart Lake Wisconsin and it found the track - all I had to do was zoom down and pick the appropriate corner
