Dirt cheap Canon SLR deal

Nothing fancy but a really affordable way to get a slr at a point and shoot price.

Canon has their EOS Rebel XS 10.1MP DSLR Camera with EF-S 18-55 IS Lens (refurbished) $399.99 - $100 coupon code SLR412 = $300. Free shipping with coupon code NEW412.

That's pretty cool for a starter kit. Great price honestly. And to think, I was excited when D-SLR got below $1000 for just the body!

Note: Canon kit lenses are shit.

I am pretty happy with my kit lens that came with my t3i. It uses a lot of plastic which makes it feel a little cheap but the glass inside seems to work well as does the IS. Of course I am sure if I put it up against a Canon L series lens that is 7x the cost I may think otherwise but for novice to mid grade photographer it works. Can always upgrades lenses too which is a good thing as your pockets grow.

I have that camera. Paid about $650 a few years ago. If you are looking for nice, crisp, colorful pics I would not get it. Plus, it does not have live view so when you ask someone else to take a pic with it they always get confused.

Oh yeah and when you put it on Auto the flash always pops up, even if its daylight. So you always have to use custom settings.

You guys must be buying some expensive dirt.

Not too bad though for a starter kit.
