Anyone picking up a new camera body? This years got some heavy hitters.

Cannon has there own. 6d etc. but it seems hands down Nikon
Won this year already.

The d800 & d800e has its advantages and disadvantages.
The d600 has its own BUT far more if a camera then the d800 in real world shooting versus a GREAT studio camera.

It's unreal how low they got the prices on these guys and when the d600 performance rivals a D3!! And close to the top nikon dogs.

Still have and will keep myd7000 but that d600 is all sorts of win even over the d800. So the majority of reviews say (by top protogs and geeks alike)

Discuss your photo gear wants this year.

Me really thinking of getting that d600 another sb910 flash and a couple speed light stands and soft boxes for them. (More so minor studio but mainly for the strobist anywhere approach)

I totally got flash knowledge and experience now to control light the way I want.

I started getting more and more into photography this last year. I'm using a T3 with a 50mm prime and the standard kit lenses. I got great results with the gear I have but the low light scenarios is where my gear lacks. Not sure how much I want to spend at this point since this is still a hobby for me but I've been getting more and more requests from potential clients for an organized, paid shoots.

Anyways, I'm thinking about picking up a used 5D but that may be a stretch.

Also looking into a Yongnuo YN-560 II Speedlight Flash to use as a slave as well as a basic, small studio set up with some soft boxes.

If anybody is thinking of upgrading and ditching old gear, let me know. We (mostly wife) wants an DSLR (thinking T3) but get a bit over whelmed when looking at all the the different packages/options. Have seen what appears to be good deals on "bundles/kits" for the T3 but also seems I wouldn't need a lot of the stuff in the kits. Any suggestions on best ways (easily) to educate myself on these things?

Thanks

I have a Canon Rebel XT that I'd let go for a song and dance from your wi.....wait.
For a fair price. It would be a good DSLR learner . No extra lenses.
I'll throw in "DSLR for Dummies" book. yes, Im serious

Just bought a D80 with lens from a buddy. Now I just need to figure out how to use it and take some bitchin' pics and then advertise to shoot female nudes on craigslist.

I might be interested.

Since I didn't completely suck shooting at Daytona for work this year (I'm no Gron4 but the shots are passable), I'm probably going to be spending more time shooting races. My primary is either a Canon T4i or 7D from work. I end up renting a 100-400mm lens.

I also take my crappy old Nikon D50 with a wide angle lens for backup and misc shooting. It does ok but I'd really like something better. I've never liked how it handles bright reds. There might be something wrong with it actually as reds always end up with artifacts. Super annoying.

So, I'm doing research and contemplating buying something used, maybe a D300 or D90... maybe even a D3000 or D5000 I have to figure out what's best for action shooting but still fits in my non-existant budget.

I'm thinking Nikon because that's what my lenses are, but maybe I should consider a Canon with a decent wide angle for backup instead?

Has anyone bought from Adorama? Are they any good? Lensrentals.com also sells used gear and that's where we rent lenses from. They seem really solid.

I've bought tons from adorama and B&H. Nothing but good things to say.

Nikon or cannon. I am not loyal devoted. But nikons top 2.8 glass and cameras are just kicking the utter shit out of cannon.
