Hey bro, have you looked into picking up an ND filter? works great on sunny days for bluring water shots. it will keep the colors a little richer.

Tom, that's Taughannock Falls just north of Ithaca, NY upstream of Cayuga Lake.

Tony, I have a nice multi-coated clear filter on my current lens just for protection, I'm just waiting until I get my new lens to get any polarizing filters or anything else, they all use different thread sizes and I don't want to keep rebuying stuff.

1. water fall shot "the scene it self is not breath taking" looks like a typical forest preserve" Nice usage of the shutter speed.

2. the carnival ride "NICE SHOT!" but i would use some PS to make those letter POP.

3. the church, "NICE SHOT" just needs some cropping"

4. car, seen that look a billion times.

5. roses "GREAT aperture usage" but i would have changed the camera angle to go down into the right" it looks like you would have had trees as your back drop instead of some road.

6. roller coaster "bla"

7. rear view of all the cars "NICE!!!! has a lot of potential, just need to work it over in PS"

8. stream "egh"

9. the shrubs and 2 building "alot of lost shrub detail" would have loved to see it all in focus is my thought"

10. rock slates "I FUCKEN LOVE IT" just needs PS help.

over all NICE shots man. some good quality camera pictures, just keep working on it.

good job man.

It's funny that some of the ones you like the most are my least favorites from the ones above.

The subject of the #4 was the reflection of the Saturn badge in the mirror, hence the focal point.

My favorite two are the dock and railroad on the lake, and the fireworks photo which is my favorite shot of the entire trip. The little girl on her tiptoes trying to see over the bar and the image of the fireworks on her mother's digicam LCD are neat.

wtf? every time i look at this thread the pictures change!

i still dont see no fireworks.

dont worry man, its just different peoples perspective on the picture.

everyone will differ in taste.

thats the quickest thing i have learned so far with photography. take the picture to PLEASE you the most.

opinions vary.

btw i am returning my camera and going to start shopping for a DLSR..lmao!
