Just got new camera

I went to Circuit City to pick up a new camera for my girlfriend tonight and ended up finding one for myself. They had a Nikon D40 that was opened on sale from $799 selling for $299. I guess a guy bought it but it didn't work with his old lenses so it was never used at all. I couldn't let this deal get away.

My girlfriend got a Casio EX-Z75 in red. Thanks for your advice in the other thread.

Cripes, $299 for a D40? I'd jump on that!

It's the king of Point and Shoots!

Just goes to show that the store cost of the camera is around $300. That's how I figure it at least.

I am up to nearly 10,000 shots with my D40 and love it the more I use it. That's a great deal you got there.

Point and Shoot, pssshhh.

I like messen with you D40 users...I can't help it.

But like the old photojournalist saying goes...the key to good photography is f/4 and BE THERE.

If you grok that, then you're off to a good start.
