My new kitty

This little guy is so cute and photogenic I had to finally drag him outside a few days ago and take some pictures with natural light. He’s still a baby, just 3 weeks old. The camera is a Nikon D-40.

Cute.

Don't de-claw it. It won't stand a chance staying on the bike with you, otherwise.

Iíve had him for a whole week exactly. Last Wednesday I heard the neighbors dogs barking like crazy all morning as I was getting ready for work. Finally I couldnít take it anymore and went to have a look and found this kitty hiding in the bushes just a few feet from my fence, totally scared to death.

I got him on my side of the fence, away from the dogs so if his mama wanted to get him, she could. But then it was time for me to go to work and mama never got him so I brought him inside. He could barely walk last week, I couldnít leave him out there, he wouldnít have survived. Kittens that young need warmth and food every 3-4 hours. He couldnít see that well either.

He was very well taken care off, he was fed well and very clean when I found him so I think he just got separated from his mom or wandered off, I donít think he was abandoned.

So heís about 4 weeks old now. He is still being bottle fed every 4-5 hours, then he gets burped, just like a baby, then he has to be stimulated to pee, since baby kittens canít pee or poo by themselves. Iím training him to use the kitty litter box and heís gotten a pretty good hang of it the last couple of days. Heís stating to climb now and is walking pretty good now and starting to jump last night, although he still looses his balance and falls a lot. Heís growing up so fast. These pictures were taken 4 days ago. Heís just adorable and so much fun.

They won't. All kittens are born with blue eyes, then later they change color. I think he's going to have greenish eyes, I can already see them changing, they are not as as blue as the day we found him.

Here are some more pics, although dark since I didn't want to flash his eyes.

This is one of his first meals, I think he looks like a little black bear

A few days later, he's got a bigger syringe. He doesn't like the baby kitty bottle, he prefers the syringe with a catheter tube on the end (my momís a nurse so I can get all that stuff).

Last week, looking like a bear, his ears have turned up more, he's looking more like a kitty now
