New lens

Well since I've been waiting for Tamron to start selling SP 80-200mm F2.8 lenses for my Nikon, only to get a reply from them that they dont know when its going into production (was announced 3/8/07), I said screw it and went and bought a Nikon 80-200 F2.8 AF-D. Lets just say its one HEAVY BIATCH . Spent the last hour rearranging my camera bag to keep it in. SO far a 28-75mm 2.8 Tammy SP, the reg Tammy 70-300 F4-5.6 and this new Nikon. Just need a 11-30mm (at least a 17-35) on the wide end and then maybe start on the tele end (I really have an eye on that 500MM Nikon. Someone wanna give me $9K? ). But it was nice that Nikon sells them with a hard case. Damn thing wont fit in teh bag.

Was watching a used Sigma 80-200 EX (sells new for $800-900 from most camera places online) on Flea bay end up sellign for $1075 + shipping

Congrats on the 80-200/2.8. I have the 70-200/2.8 VR myself and know how nice the optical quality of Nikon's 80(70)-200's are.

Have fun with the lens and post up some pics.

That is such a killer lens!

Good choice!! It's one you'll keep until you die, or Nikon comes up with some revolutionary new lens technology....

You'll probably keep it till you die!
