Will Film SLR lenses work with digital body?

I have a Canon Rebel Ti 35mm SLR film camera with a 25-80mm & 70-300mm lenses and was wondering if the Rebel XTi digital body will matchup.
I would think they would but you never know and thought I would ask and find out.
Was thinking of going digital and figured i could use my existing lenses instaed of buying a whole camera set-up.

Thanks for the help!!

Call Wolf and double check, but I know that as long as the mount is compatible, it should work. I know that Nikon, Sony, and Minolta glass work on both film and DSLR. I use them interchangeably.

they will work. However, due to "clipping" factor . your old slr lens will have effective focus distance 1.6 larger. I.E objects in focus will look "closer" on digital camera than through the same lens on film camera.

That said, there is no point buying "specialized" lenses for digital camera if you take into account changes in the focal length upfront. I.E 50mm film SLR will produce "the same picture" as 28mm lens in digital.

Your ti has a EF mount. The XTi also accepts EF mounts and EF-S. So your lenses will fit. Now if they will be fully functional, that may be another story.
