looking for a dslr

i'm looking to get into the dslr age. i want something that would take awesome action pictures. i've been looking at canon xsi. what do the pro here think?

i have the Canon XTi. no complaints here! one of my friends has a nikon d40 and another has the olympus e510. i think you just need to go to a store and hold them in your hands. see which one feels better in your hands and is easier to control.

dose it take great action pictures? how difficult is it to work? I'm just starting to mess with DSLR's.

If you're looking at the XSi, you might as well step up to the 40D. Their isn't that much of a price diff and you get a Magnesium body, nicer kit lens and twice the number of shots per second (6.5 for the 40D instead of 3.5 XSi).
