V I P. Yes, VIP Indy Mile

df4iguy and myself were in the VIP area for the Indy Mile saturday night. Got to be around the chicks, meet Nicky Hayden, and stand in front of the Winner's Circle. Here are some of my few weekend shots from the mile. I left the good camera in the truck for the GP due to rain.

Here's a few>

This wheelchair had a Gyro in it and allowed the kid to go to 2 wheels and raise his height a few feet.

No I'm not saying it was! It just looks like it because of the lighting/flash or angle. There's like a halo around his head kinda like you see around someone standing in front of a blue screen.

GP crap Vid

Short clip with my little camera. Windy as hell, but you can still hear the GP noise! I wish it was dry, then I'd have some better pics.

I'm so glad the mile got in with all the wet weather! ...could be a tremendous shot in the arm for the sport. And well done with the sneak in, glad the practice at the Springfield Short Track paid off

I hope you took her back to the tent!

We had a hotel on the southside of Indy in Greenwood. We will probably camp there next year and bring the fifth wheel and the 27 footer. Was it a huge party in that campground???

the friday party was pretty crazy, but saturday was rather tame. I ended up laying down around 1am.

the choice to go to bikenite vs flat track was a wrong decision also.

New found respect for the Flat Track Racers - WOW - Just amazing what those cats pull off - Felt bad for Kool Kat as he climbed thru 20+ riders to get to P1 and then, Red Lights!!!

I want to learn how to do that style of riding - 100 + mph into Turn 1 while sliding - Bad fucking ass!

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming WOW, what a RIDE !!"
