i'd just be afraid of not getting all the pieces of glass out from inside of it

How would you seal it?? I'm not sure if they're made to be waterproof in the first place though

Pretty cool idea though, i'd take one!

oh I would assume that it has a liner of some sort and is not just a bare lens with a cap at one end lol... I've got an old zoom lens from the AE-1 days, it's pretty screwed up I believe, so I may make a winter project out of this idea!

I would need at least a 70-200 for the amount of coffee I drink.

Have you ever tried to drink from a road cup with a thread at the top. Very messy...

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

the lens threads are a different matter completely though as they are so fine inlike the road cup threads being huge and coarse

If anyone's got an old one they have no use for and would be willing to sell..I'd be interested! (not sure how much lenses go for, however)
