Photo Challenge #32: Looking forward to?

R U L E S:- The host gives you a topic of interest and you get going. You post ONE image (only first image by one person will be judged) that is relevant to the challenger theme. You can change your image as many times as you like before the deadline.

- The host chooses a winner *AND* runner-up after closing. The decision of the judge (the Host!) is final. The judge is *not* eligible. The winner then chooses the next topic, tells everyone when the photo's must be posted by (give some reasonable amount of time like a week), runs the challenge, judges the winner and passes on the baton to that person. Winner/Host, please post a reasonable topic that someone who's not a pro photographer can be a part of. Remember it's not just cool shots, but the story that can be told for some.

- If the winner fails to post a new challenge within 48 hours of being declared the winner then the runner-up should post the new challenge within a further 24 hours.

- Any picture you've taken is eligible regardless of time taken and camera it was taken with. You can do all the post processing you want. However, it is most helpful if you list your camera, lens and exposure info along with your photo.

- All levels welcome. If you don't have the best lens or just a plain old pocket camera but your shot tells a wonderful story then there's no reason you can't win! This is about overall photo's and their story, not just about expensive equipment.

- Feel free to comment on other contestant's images. If you want someone to leave you a piece of constructive criticism, ask for it...after all we are here to learn too and practice.

- Provide any additional information concerning your entry you want. Explaining how the shot might relate to the topic could help too.

- Winner/Host, please copy and paste these rules into the topic and thread that you post because some might start doing contests later

************************************************** *************************

The last photo challenge was about cold, and we are all getting tired of this cold.

For this photo challenge I would like you to submit a picture of what you're looking forward to when Chicago finally thaws out.

Examples of what I'm looking forward to:

Driving my Pcar

Lightweight backpacking

Riding my bike (I can't find a pic of me on my 10R, so this will do)

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

No, picture was taken at an iberostar resort in mexico.

If the picture is of you, then you didn't take it and it's not admissable!

Didn't need to. Off to the right side they build a platform to jump off of.

Think I might take that shot again with the garage door open for some better lighting, took that with a bunch of others to get some before pics of the dirty, torn apart bike...wasn't going so much for quality I s'pose

this is kind of a fun one.. could go on for hours with this one

finally teaching the wife to ride AND buying her the monster she wants

Getting back out on the track.. RIP.. Miss ya buddy

Road America - I would have loved to see them bring MotoGP there... That track would be incredible with those bikes.. Especially if it was the old 1000's

Spending more quality time with wild dolphins

Going back to Charlotte for a few days

The bike show

Going back to europe.. hopefully this time trading the benz in for a pcar.. or the bmw we ordered

Indy (note this isn't indy.. just a shot proving the best seats at an event.. dont have seats)

Seeing her grow up.

Sorry.. I hijacked your thread into my public to do list.
No offense intended.. Tried to keep em small

whoa!! that is fuggin BIG!

Still trying to convince the parents they should build a tank in the basement, in wall under the staircase. Salt-water with some cool blue backlighting, lots of bright fish, and those cool neon colored anemones. Would work well too, because there's a door that allows access to under the staircase, so you'd have access behind the wall above the tank to do any feeding, etc.

Def. could get a little bit of a list going for this one..I'm thinking I'll add a few after the challenge is over to keep a little bit of clutter out until the winner's chosen.

Taken in motion (only at 5MPH) at the Morton Arboretum last Fall. Brianne and I were hoping to catch some colors changing, but the rain and strong winds a few days before had knocked most of the color out of the trees. We were riding on an auto path that wraps completely around the Arboretum. We also spotted a big burly Harley Dude with his bitch on back and they had the biggest grins when they us.

We didn't get to ride much last year, and even at 5MPH it was one of the best rides we'd ever done together. I'm very excited to go back a couple times in 2009. Maybe bring a small group from CLSB and do lunch there one day.

Nikon D300 with Tokina 12-24 F/4. Focus set on the Constant setting and I was trying to lock onto Bri. Literally shot by laying down on the tank and hanging the camera as low as I could with my right hand while steering with my left (while coasting in Neutral)

Maybe next year Firebretha can help me make a camera mount and I can use my remote to take these shots all day long.
