Camera Rentals?

So, I have been jonesing to go to McNeil River Falls for about 13 years now, and I am *this close* to finally pulling the trigger and making the trip this summer. I have everything in place, except a camera.

I just have a a little canon SD 600.... Bear viewing at McNeil River ranges from 30ft to 200ft, so I think I need something better. I don't really have the budget to buy a camera worthy of this trip, nor do I really have a need for it beyond this one trip. I also don't want to borrow from a friend-- it's about 40 miles of hiking, and camping in inclimate weather-- I'd hate to ruin someone's equipment.

So my question-- does anyone know of a place that will rent camera equipment, lenses, etc? I will do due diligence in making sure I know how to best use what I rent.... I just don't want to buy.

setup looks like this, so I need a camera that will capture the action!:

Thanks!!!!

I k ow that Sony and other companies used to rent out their video cameras and shit like that to allow the consumer to try out their newest stuff. Have u actually tried contacting the company that makes the camera u like?

We used to rent out video cameras from Sony so that's how I know.

...plus my gf was with me saying "omg slow down, slow down" and I was thinking "Lose annoying squalk box in passenger seat, afford more mods and have less weight in the car and on the back of the bike"...so i dumped her and I'm single again as usual...HERE KITTY KITTY!!!

Ok, so CostCo actually doens't loan out anything. My dad went over there today to inquire and they said no. Darn!

And I saw that borrowlenses site but I thought the prices were a little steep. I might as well just buy a camera and lenses off of ebay.

I'm officially stumped.

I don't have time right NOW. I have to put in for my permit by March 1; and if I can't get a camera I'm not going to bother to pay for the $300 permit.

I get that it's funny, I do. I just really need to find a camera.
